Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all
0:04
know what time y'all don't know y'all
0:09
have a sun
0:13
giving them like
0:15
the milling bus things. And it's
0:20
true. Steve listening
0:24
to going together
0:27
for stum, I
0:38
don't joy.
0:58
You gotta turn
1:10
you, you
1:24
gotta turn
1:41
to turn them out. Turn got
1:44
to turn them out,
1:45
to turn the water the
1:47
water. Come
1:58
come on your baby, uh
2:01
huh, I sure will A good
2:03
morning everybody. You are listening to the
2:05
voice, come on, dig me now wanted
2:08
only Steve Harvey got
2:10
a radio show. Man o,
2:12
man o, man, I
2:16
just I have to tell you this. How
2:22
good is the God I served? How
2:25
amazing is he? That's
2:28
that's all you know. And you know,
2:30
really, man, when I try to explain, um,
2:34
how I feel about what he does for me, really,
2:37
the words that I come up with that they just they
2:39
inadequate. Man, they don't they don't cut it. They
2:41
really don't. You know. I could say amazing.
2:45
At one time. I even just got there.
2:47
I tried something real ignorant. One time, I just
2:49
said, you know, God is just super casual, fragilistic
2:52
as be allidocious. I just tried that to
2:54
see how that felt. That's that's all the
2:56
change he is with me. I just try to because see
2:58
how that felt. But then I ain't feel right saying
3:01
that, the fact that he's amazing
3:03
and awesome and he's an awesome
3:05
god. You hear people say that as it's
3:07
bigger than that too, man. So you
3:10
know, as as hard as I try,
3:12
no matter what I do every day, I'm gonna come up
3:14
short with trying to explain to you exactly
3:17
how he works and how he is for me.
3:19
So I just thank him every day
3:21
every chance I get here.
3:24
It is it
3:27
is your determination and
3:29
your effort. Listen
3:31
to me carefully. It
3:34
is your determination and
3:37
your effort. I think
3:40
that the average person, and
3:42
I'm not knocking you, I just want you to hear me
3:44
out. I think what stops the
3:46
average person from becoming successful
3:49
is that we don't realize the
3:51
effort that it takes. That's
3:54
just truth. I found that
3:56
to be so true in my life
3:58
and my talking to people, in meeting
4:00
people and people aren't asking me questions
4:03
about it and me trying to figure out the way
4:05
myself. I don't think
4:08
that you really can comprehend
4:11
the effort that it takes to
4:13
become successful. This is
4:15
the thing that you have to wrap your mind around
4:18
very quickly. If you want to be
4:20
successful on any level in any
4:22
area. The dream
4:24
is the beginning. Good Lord,
4:27
let me tell you something. The determination
4:29
and effort is massive.
4:32
You cannot be
4:34
overly concerned with sleep.
4:37
If you are a person who is always
4:40
concerned about sleep, get
4:42
success out your mind. A fit to happen
4:44
partner is not fit to happen. You
4:47
cannot be that concerned
4:49
about sleep. Now listen
4:51
to me. You have to get your rest. But
4:55
this was my philosophy. I'm just
4:57
sharing you with what how I did it. My
5:00
philosophy was I stopped
5:03
being concerned about sleep. I
5:06
got my rest, but I got just
5:09
enough to
5:11
get back to it, and I
5:13
got back on the grind to hop into hustle. I
5:16
got just enough rest so
5:19
I could go and put forth some more
5:21
effort. But listen
5:23
to me. You cannot sleep
5:25
a third of your life away and expect
5:28
to become successful if you're not already
5:30
successful. If you are asleep for
5:32
eight hours, that is a third of your day.
5:35
You cannot be asleep a third
5:37
of your life and expect to get successful.
5:40
Not after you get successful. You
5:43
know, you learn as you go
5:46
to work smarter, not harder. So
5:48
as you get successful, you
5:50
may have eight hours available to you. But
5:53
on the way up there, I don't see how you can do it, I
5:55
promise you. I don't. Now I don't. Maybe somebody
5:57
can come forward I did it. I ain't. Yeah,
6:00
probably lying. But okay, tell your
6:02
story, because everybody
6:05
I know that's successful that I've
6:07
sat down a head real talks with, they
6:10
wasn't concerned with sleeping. You
6:13
cannot be concerned with sleeping
6:16
if you want to be successful. How how
6:18
can this happen for you? Listen
6:21
to me. The effort that it requires
6:23
is massive. It's an all out of salt
6:26
on your dream. Now you got to make
6:28
an assault. It's requires
6:30
and all out of salt on it. And
6:32
you can't be sleeping fight at the same time.
6:34
You can't fight when you sleep. Man.
6:37
I wish I could get y'all understand this right. Ill
6:40
understand that the effort that is required
6:43
to be successful will take everything
6:45
you have, and when you think you've
6:47
given your all, it's gonna require
6:50
some more. The quality
6:53
of your chill is amazing.
6:55
See that's said. Okay, listening, What
6:58
is sitting around having a bill day
7:00
fault? What what what I'm
7:02
sitting around smoking weed for every day?
7:04
Fault? Come on, man, for
7:06
real, But
7:08
if you took that beer, drinking weed
7:11
smoking chill time and apply it
7:13
to progressing yourself towards
7:15
your dream. When you
7:17
do carve out a vacation, guess
7:20
where you be able to go. Guess
7:22
what part of the world you can go see. Guess how
7:24
you can chill Now Now I'm instead of you just
7:27
driving every year your family to the
7:29
family union, sit at the same picnic table.
7:31
Everybody pull their money in. Two ten
7:34
families don't never pull they money in. They
7:36
down there eating like y'all eating. You got
7:38
attitude because the day or they
7:41
side don't ever chip in, and no they down
7:43
they eating the extra potatoes that making place.
7:45
You're not not arguing about this every year for
7:47
real? Man, they ain't got the T shirt
7:50
money. You know they got to say T
7:52
shirt don't. They ain't put in that really, man,
7:54
so so so so so you want
7:57
that to be it every year? Or do
7:59
you want this year I'm taking
8:01
my family to New Orleans, or
8:04
I'm taking my family see the Grand Canyon. I'm
8:06
taking my family down to the beach this year
8:09
and me and my family gonna go sight See, we're
8:11
gonna go ride Coup the River on Chicago.
8:14
Me and my family gonna go skiing this year, and
8:16
me and my family going out to La Man, we're
8:18
gonna we're gonna go out there for a weekend.
8:21
You know, you know it can happen like that. But if you
8:23
ain't working, listen
8:27
to me. Average
8:30
effort gets average results.
8:34
That's that's all it is to it. See,
8:38
ordinary effort gets
8:41
ordinary results.
8:44
But if you put forth an extra
8:47
effort. See, the only difference
8:49
between extraordinary and ordinary is
8:51
one word, that's extra. If you
8:53
do extra, you can take ordinary
8:56
right on over to extraordinary. Do
8:58
you understand you have to have a
9:00
massive assault on your dreams? Quit
9:03
sitting up in here, man, trying to chill all the time.
9:05
I'm sorry, man, I wish I could tell you
9:07
another way, but it ain't one. Here's
9:10
what I did. I wasn't
9:12
concerned about how much sleep I got.
9:14
I just had to get my rest. And
9:17
once I got enough rest to get up
9:19
and get the task done, I
9:22
got up. Somebody sent
9:24
me a tweet the
9:26
other day, a partner of mine.
9:29
He's someone to see if I can pull it up. While I'm talking
9:31
to you, but he just sent me a little sign.
9:34
Just wasn't nothing, just a little something to say.
9:36
Hey man, I ran across this, I
9:38
thought about you, and I sent it to you. It
9:41
said no alarm clock needed,
9:44
My passion wakes me. It's
9:48
in block print. He said,
9:50
no alarm clock needed, my
9:53
passion wakes me. That's
9:56
what you got to be about.
9:58
You're da ladies
10:03
and gentlemen, boys and girls, let me
10:05
have it. What about asking for your undivided
10:08
attention? Why because it's about to go down?
10:10
What Steve Hard Morning Show? When
10:12
right now? You know what I'm saying.
10:15
This is real simple. It's what we do
10:17
every morning. We try to bring
10:19
you information, motivation,
10:23
stimulation, education
10:26
and laugh asition. All
10:28
that these
10:31
is the laugh I Asian. I love
10:33
that one. That's laughing with
10:35
information combined laugh laugh
10:38
action. Yeah, yeah, I just thought
10:40
of that just now. Just now. Ain't nothing new,
10:43
you know, just just sitting up in here. I was telling
10:45
the crew right before I started, I said, I just
10:48
didn't get my gratitude in so I just want
10:50
to say it out loud this morning. Thank you my father
10:52
for waking me up to day, for keeping
10:54
me strong, for providing for
10:56
providing me with my measure
10:58
of health. I feel like today
11:01
and every day, I'm getting better
11:04
and better. In Jesus name, I'm
11:06
walking strong man. I ain't the way you can't
11:08
when you comfort me, you ain't coming from me because I
11:10
ain't by myself. Now I'm fair warning.
11:13
I have issued just wanted to enemies before.
11:16
It is my enemies versus my
11:18
God. Score one
11:20
billion to zero. Come
11:25
on, Lord Jesus, undefeated,
11:29
undefeated man. Even
11:34
when it looked like I was losing, I
11:36
ended up with it. Boys, So
11:40
I praised God for everything every moment
11:42
of my life that I've had to endure, overcome,
11:46
been overwhelmed by and
11:48
survived, which is all of
11:50
them. Steve harfmarnin Show,
11:52
Charley Strawberry Carlin for real, Mouth
11:54
to the South Junior and the legend that
11:56
he is nephew Tommy Junior. Anything
11:59
on your mind today, Yeah, there's just
12:01
funny that you would start to show that way on because I had
12:03
a question. We would talk about something, but everybody's
12:05
going through it and how to handle when you losing
12:08
your faith? How did you internally deal with
12:10
that? When ask me
12:12
that again, I missed it. When you just feel like you losing
12:14
your faith when you're seeing you in a situation
12:17
internally, How did you handle losing
12:20
getting it back and getting back on the right track.
12:22
Well, you know, it happens
12:24
to everybody that your face,
12:27
yea, that your trials and tribulations
12:30
get a bit much at times
12:33
and causes you to second
12:35
guess and wonder and
12:37
have doubt and
12:39
all that. I mean, it happens to everybody.
12:42
You know. When I have moments
12:44
like that, what I've learned to do, and
12:46
I haven't always known this, but what
12:48
I've learned to do when I get to those moments
12:50
is I go somewhere and I get real still. I
12:53
get you. Usually early in the morning.
12:56
I get real still when I'm by myself
12:59
and I focused on the gratitude
13:01
of what all has happened to me. In
13:04
that gratitude, I realized
13:06
that I have overcome and gained so
13:08
much in life. And then it restrengthens
13:11
me to deal with what's currently going
13:13
on, because once I think of the gratitude,
13:16
it exposes the track record that I
13:18
have to success winning
13:21
overcoming victories.
13:24
And I think of all the other times that I
13:26
had doubt that he ended up and he came through what
13:28
he got me. So that's a measure I've
13:31
learned to do. You got to thank God
13:33
when you're in the middle of it. Amen,
13:36
coming up in thirty two minutes after the hour,
13:38
we're gonna hear from the nephew. It's about to get ignorant.
13:40
Now run that frank back right
13:43
after this you're
13:45
listening
13:45
to show. All
13:48
right, it's time now for the nephew to run
13:50
that prank back. What you got for his now, repass
13:54
chicken, repass chicken. Let's go, thank
13:56
you for I need
13:58
to make an order. Hey,
14:02
yeah, he prides up. Man, get them
14:05
up for that birth man. Hello,
14:11
Hello yet, sir, I
14:13
thank you for college. Hey hey,
14:15
I'm trying to get an order. Man. We just got to the
14:17

14:19
three pads where the family had. Man. All right,
14:21

14:24
I'm gonna need probably like a hundred and forty
14:26

14:30

14:37

14:43
sure we got enough food at the house. Man. Yeah,
14:46
So what kind of size you got, magga? I want
14:48
to try to get large family sizes. All y'all
14:50
got the tato salad? Yeah, we have
14:53
French fries, to say, the salad green
14:56
and that groning and tea. You known't almost
14:58
I'm mut tu need to be to that. Let me like two
15:00
or all of them, you know what I'm saying, two of each
15:02
that ought to be gonna give me four of them greens
15:05
up, but I know they're gonna want them greens. You gotta bound
15:07
little house. Yeah, family sizes on everything,
15:09
man, two of each, but give me four greens
15:11
all right? Okay, Now give me some rolls,
15:13
man, at least at least twenty rolls to go
15:15
with that. All right? You man, think he letchard
15:18

15:20

15:27

15:30
Finally thirty five? You know, give up and give us about

15:37
right, you got a phone on ut to reach her? Forty
15:39

15:42
Okay, I got this. Okay, so we got one
15:44
hundred and twenty five kids gonna be nixed, right, yeah,
15:47
white and okay, then we're gonna do on
15:49
that. Did you want to fright thing or mole or nick
15:51
hundred? The one separated man
15:53
went up the miles and one boxes
15:56
and then you got the fighting another boxes, so you
15:58
know, we'll know so the kids won't get home to n
16:01
Can you take it over? I'm on the phone, take
16:03
it over. I got to what's
16:06
my coat? Along that man? So I got you know, because I ain't
16:08
been pay for all this by myself. I can got everybody picking
16:10

16:12

16:15

17:18

17:20
I don't want to buy none. I don't need. I just need ten pizzas.
17:22
Man, Bro, you're gonna come back to the chicken. Man,
17:25

17:27

17:29
this chicken. And God, I'm not gonna buy no chicken.
17:31
I don't want. Man, I'm not gonna do that, doubt.
17:34
I mean, you know, I'm doing this for the breathing family,
17:36
man. So you know, like I say, yeah, I'm gonna
17:38

17:55

17:57

18:00

18:23
about some back calling, sicking off and
18:26
put it back up a room. But it's gonna get
18:28
the chicken on. It's gonna be say that man.
18:30
I don't give a man. I will call every funeral
18:32
hall around find out who guy, and
18:34
I will call Fine, Robert, you're
18:37
gonna coach. Can't get this chick man, I'm
18:39
not gonna find no chicken. I don't want, man, I
18:41
want ten pieces, that's it. No, No,
18:43
you want some hundred and twenty five people
18:46

18:48

18:51

18:58
to bring out get swords
19:00
or eight dollars and fitness said he come by
19:02
to come
19:05
down. Man, he need come to get
19:07
this ship. Man.
19:09
Man, you're gonna start. He gonna
19:12
go in and win. You're
19:14
gonna get this right now, you're gonna
19:16
eat this ticket whatever, don't
19:19
I don't know. I don't know. Fun about dear Robert. We'll
19:22
just thank you talking about woman. I'm
19:24
talking to him. I told y'all talking
19:26
to us, that's gonna come up here and get this sick.
19:28
He's gonna bring two hundred and eight dollars
19:31
or you're gonna come up here and get ten people of chick hits
19:34
up to you. But either way coming up
19:36
here, what you want to do, I'm gonna send somebody
19:38
else up there to get the chicken? Man, Okay, Oh, you're
19:40
gonna stand up here. Tommy coming to get the chicken? Tommy?
19:42
Who? What's the blame? Enough? I gotta get information.
19:45
Can what's the name Timmy man,
19:48
nephew Timmy from the Steve Hardy Morning
19:50
Show.
19:56
What's the here? You just say a week? Who?
19:59
I ain't the nephew coming from
20:01
the sea. Harvey, morning, man,
20:06
this is some man
20:10
you about to ask somebody? Yeah, what bro
20:13
something doing all the chicken though? You
20:16
got coming that Courtney? Uh that
20:19
dirty hey way. This is what I'm doing,
20:21
man, I'm gonna give you my credit card and
20:23
we're gonna dominate kicking all day. Man, you see
20:25
some homeless people or whatever, you just pans out
20:27
to chick up and we've been getting paid for it.
20:30
Right now, Yeah,
20:32
I can't trust that, y'all gotta be paring
20:34
on. I'm about right now. I'm
20:38
saying, man, what's the baddest and I mean
20:40
the baddest radio show in
20:42
the lame man the Steve Harvey
20:44
more in the shout, All
20:48
right, nephew. Coming
20:50
up next, it is asked the Cello
20:53
chief Love Officers, Steve Barbie in the building
20:55
for your love questions. Right after this, you're
20:58
listening Steve Every morning
21:00
show coming up at the top
21:02
of the hour. And entertainment news, Oscar's
21:05
nomination snubs. Okay,
21:07
we'll talk about those. Plus. Erica
21:09
Badou addresses the controversy over
21:12
the mother and daughter booty pics that were on
21:14
the Graham a couple of days ago. Oh yeah,
21:16
oh yeah. And then former GMA
21:19
three anchors t J. Holmes and Amy Roebok
21:22
are Roebok are in mediation
21:25
meetings almost said meditation meetings, but mediation
21:27
meetings with a
21:34
they're in those meetings with ABC. We'll talk
21:36
about all of these stories at the top of the hour,
21:38
but right now it is time to
21:40
ask the CLO, the Chief Love
21:42
Officer, Steve Harvey in the building,
21:45
Ronda and Philly says, I'm a
21:47
single mother of a fifteen year old son, and
21:49
I have a question because there's no male
21:52
representation around us. My
21:54
son keeps his hands in the front of his
21:56
pants all the time when he sleeps
21:59
and walking aroun around the house. This
22:01
is so gross and disrespectful
22:03
to me. Is it normal or
22:05
should I say something? Well,
22:09
he's fifteen. Let me tell you what's
22:12
happening. It's very
22:14
normal for him to do that when he sleep.
22:17
I don't know if you've been around me and before with a
22:19
lot of grown men do it holding
22:22
on. It's jest, you know, so it's
22:25
a safe feeling it So yeah,
22:28
you know you're sleep and
22:31
now that's grown men do it. Fifteen,
22:34
he's in that age where it
22:37
is it reacts to
22:40
just about anything. It
22:43
don't take much. He's just not thinking
22:45
it out. And now
22:48
during the day and
22:51
that's a little odd. Sleeping
22:53
when he buys yourself, watching TV, that's very
22:56
normal. Walking around
22:58
all day, it is very adum.
23:04
You have to. But then
23:07
what didn't happened is, see, Mama, he didn got comfortable
23:09
with you. So now it's just
23:11
just mama. Now
23:13
if he's doing it at school and
23:16
walking down the street and waiting on buses
23:18
and you know, then
23:21
then we have a problem. But I think
23:23
it's just a moment. I he's gotten comfortable
23:25
around you, and I think
23:27
you could ask him not to do
23:29
that in front of you, and then most
23:31
boys should be respectful of their
23:33
mom. That cut it out. But at night it ain't
23:36
nothing you can do. But time daddy
23:38
was day in the daytime a little to dad attended. Boy,
23:42
boy, Well,
23:44
I can't say it on the radio.
23:46
You
23:46
don't. You can't
23:52
boiling boy if you don't get your head off, Jack Johnson,
23:54
ain't no heavyweight fight. Didn't hear this moment? Yea
23:59
you know that? Yeah? That kind
24:02
of all
24:04
right. Moving on to Dot in West Virginia.
24:07
Dot says, I'm sixty two years old, and I'm
24:09
dating a sixty three year old man that I met
24:11
at church. We've been together for
24:13
five months and we've had sex
24:15
a few times, but it's not enough
24:17
for me. He doesn't like it if
24:19
I initiate sex. And does this
24:21
mean we're not sexually compatible? YEA
24:27
one word? I know, Yeah,
24:30
dot, that's what that means. Yeah.
24:33
And West Virginia, you know, I
24:37
don't know if y'all met at the snake charmer
24:39
church. I don't know what church this is. I
24:41
don't really know what there's a lot of it
24:44
going on away. I'm from West Virginia. So you say,
24:46
yeah, anybody don't like it, you can just
24:48
get the email. No,
24:51
I'm just shocked. They
24:57
still doing snakes down there and contest
25:00
parts of Tennessee. Now
25:02
all Appellachians is doing it still, some
25:05
of them. It's not a widespread but it's
25:07
still out there shouting with
25:09
snakes and stuff like that. That's your bigger problem.
25:16
Or maybe his
25:18
snake is tired of making
25:21
appearances
25:24
and his snake is tired
25:27
of performing, and
25:29
so he got to pick and choose the time to
25:32
bring the snake out. FUS service
25:37
man, see that high dude,
25:41
right, good, Yeah, it was radio
25:44
friendly radio friends, all
25:48
right. Moving on to Ola in
25:50
Tampa, Ola.
25:53
Right, my aunt, yeah, Ola,
25:55
rights, My aunt is staying with me temporarily,
25:58
and she's always flirty
26:00
with my twenty eight year old boyfriend. She's
26:03
forty eight, but looks like she's seventy
26:05
eight. Uh, my boyfriend
26:07
may funny. I know that's crazy,
26:10
thirty years older than she really
26:12
is. My boyfriend thinks it's funny,
26:14
and he flirts back to make her feel special.
26:17
Is it cool or should I stop all of this flirty
26:20
behavior? No, he just he
26:22
tries to trying to ask the fun that's all. I
26:25
don't know many men that wan't
26:27
a forty eight year old and look like a seventy
26:29
eight year old. I've yet to meet him.
26:32
Yeah good,
26:36
yeah, good'
26:43
Look how shriveled up she looked. I'm
26:48
gonna looking real good. That dog don't
26:50
hunt.
26:52
Don't you see them teeth in that
26:54
glass? Yeah? Yeah,
26:56
wow, yes, no, yeah,
27:01
it's funny to him, he said that. Yeah.
27:04
Well, if she forty looks av me eight, there's
27:06
some things that's gone wrong. She had hard
27:08
life. That's
27:10
a shame. All right, Well, moving on,
27:12
Yeah, last one Briann in New
27:15
Orleans. Brian writes, my brother is
27:17
coming to hang out for his birthday and
27:19
he asked me to book him two hotel
27:21
rooms on my credit card. I
27:24
asked why he needs two rooms, and
27:26
he said the other room is for a female
27:28
friend. He just got married,
27:30
So I'm not gonna help him cheat. Should
27:33
I do it for him? Or should I tell
27:35
him to ask someone else? No, they
27:38
don't get involved in then, because
27:41
if something happens and then the wife
27:43
find out that you help, it's
27:46
all going back for I don't even know why he asking
27:48
that. Don't when the dude's gonna learn, keep
27:51
your dirt to your damn self. Man,
27:53
the less people you bring in your mess,
27:56
the less people can tell about it. If
27:58
you're gonna do some dirt, man, do your
28:01
dirt by your damn So what are you dragging
28:03
all these people? Yeah?
28:08
Yeah,
28:10
I can't ask my sister a damn thing
28:13
illegal or wrong? Which
28:17
one?
28:20
Either one? What
28:22
would Jesus do? W
28:26
W j D the
28:30
guilt the exact
28:35
opposite of what I just asked you to
28:37
help me? What would Jesus
28:39
do? Okay, got your answer?
28:41
Next? All
28:46
right? Brian? Nope, Closis
28:48
stay out of it brother
28:51
sloppy. Yeah, with
28:54
the truth, he shouldn't be able to trop
28:56
The rule should have been for Carl. What did you talk about?
28:59
Phoebe got married though? What
29:02
anybody? Yeah?
29:04
But why tell the sisters? Tell
29:07
the sister who was? The truth
29:09
is crazy? All right? Coming
29:11
up at the top of the hour, Thank you, Clo. We'll
29:13
have some entertainment news for you all
29:15
right after this crazy you're
29:18
listening to show
29:22
still trending. The Oscar nominations
29:24
were announced on Tuesday, and we're
29:26
so happy for actress Angela Bassett's
29:29
nomination for Best Supporting Actress and her
29:32
performance as Queen Ramanda in Black
29:34
Panther Wakanda Forever. We
29:36
all know the Academy still owes Angela
29:38
and Oscar for her role as Tina Turner
29:40
in the movie What's Got What's Love Got to do with
29:42
It? Of course? Yeah.
29:46
Um. However, we are disappointed that Viola
29:49
day This was overlooked for the Best Actress
29:52
nomination for her role in the movie
29:54
The Woman King. Now, Steve, you saw The
29:56
Woman King, right, wasn't
29:59
it amazing? Whoa?
30:03
Yeah? Like Simon
30:06
asked me, and I
30:08
gave it a little bit of thought, but
30:10
you know who I think the greatest
30:13
female actor of all time
30:16
is as actress.
30:19
I really think it's Viola Davis.
30:21
Oh, she's so just
30:24
believable. But everything
30:26
she does from the White
30:28
House, the Offences
30:31
with Denza, I saw that.
30:34
I was right there with you. Yes,
30:37
I mean this woman is so
30:41
I movie
30:43
about the aide that the
30:45
help, Yeah, and how to get away with murder
30:49
him in his chest. Amazing, man,
30:53
she should have gotten nominated for that.
30:55
That movie can blow a snot bubble
30:58
on Cue. You was cold, says
31:01
the fellow actor on Tommy. Who do you think
31:03
it's the top female actress?
31:06
I think it was definitely in the
31:08
time. That's for definitely. She She's a bad
31:10
girl. She got she got every everything
31:13
on point that she don't miss a beat. Woman
31:16
King was woman King was outstanding.
31:20
She delivered, she delivered. I
31:22
just saw it. I just saw it. Yeah,
31:24
that's like one of my favorite movie
31:27
of last year, The Woman care no
31:30
scene. I haven't seen Black
31:32
Panther two yet, an
31:35
Well, I saw that and I said, you
31:38
know, as soon as I saw that, I said, she
31:40
should be nominated for an hour. Yes,
31:43
yes, she's a legend too,
31:46
Yes, yes, yeah, that girl
31:48
ain't gonna get it. That's right. People
31:50
think they just popped up. You
31:52
start looking at old TV shows and you start saying,
31:54
oh my god, that's yes.
31:59
Yeah, you know, it's been very route and
32:01
I'm gonna just be honest with you, the route that black
32:03
women have to take to get roles,
32:05
even in roles, I
32:08
mean, man like, they will. They
32:10
will not put a black woman in
32:12
a role simply because she black. Yeah,
32:15
yeah, black card. They don't want to have to explain
32:18
that all it's not
32:20
the look we're looking for. That's crazy,
32:23
Or she won't be able to bring in the audience
32:25
that we want, or you know, the
32:28
box office dollars and all
32:30
of that. Um well, anyway, yeah,
32:32
Viola King was over Viola Davis
32:35
was overlooked for The Woman King, and also
32:37
Danielle Dadweiler was snubbed
32:39
for her role in the movie Till
32:42
uh yeah, The Woman King,
32:44
Until are two movies with black women
32:46
as lead. Steve, you
32:49
just talked about this and they had black
32:51
directors as well. Um.
32:53
Academy Awards point, yeah, very
32:55
much, so, very much so. Academy Award
32:58
nominees received their votes from member of
33:00
the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts,
33:02
Motion Picture, Arts and Sciences. The
33:04
organization of more than ten thousand industry
33:07
professionals has around ninety five hundred
33:09
members who are eligible to vote
33:11
her vanity fair, according to MSN dot
33:13
com. Now the Oscars will be March
33:16
twelfth, and it will be hosted not
33:18
by Chris Rock, It will
33:20
be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. Okay,
33:22
well, but you do something to let me say this too.
33:25
A lot of movies don't get recognition
33:28
like till because they
33:30
don't give a damn about that, right,
33:33
Yeah, what happened to this whole movement?
33:36
Remember the whole diversity, diversity
33:39
and inclusion and all that
33:47
last. Yeah, like the terms
33:49
described it perfectly. That came
33:51
and went, just like all our
33:53
movements come and go. Yeah,
33:55
what happened to Black Lives Matter? What
33:58
happened to kneeling? What happened? What
34:00
happened to the boycott? The expertise
34:03
of the oppressor is to
34:06
just let some time go back. The
34:09
first week them picket
34:11
signs as low crowded. Everybody
34:14
got a sign
34:15
about a month in braids.
34:19
Ain't half the people out there marching?
34:21
They ain't showing off nor more. And in six
34:23
Mores you ain't gotta word about it. So
34:26
yeah, sorry for those snubs, but
34:28
Viola Davis, we're huge
34:30
fans of yours and other
34:33
entertainment news. Erica Badou and her
34:35
family are responding to the backlash over
34:37
a picture of her daughter that
34:39
was posted on the Gram earlier this week.
34:42
Her name is Puma Curry. Puma
34:45
posted a picture standing alongside
34:47
her mom, Erica Badoud. They were both rocking
34:50
tight leggings and showing off their booties.
34:52
I mean they were showing off their curves. Some people
34:54
on social media found this to be scandalous,
34:57
leaving comments like quote,
34:59
so y'all advertising ass
35:01
objectifying and exploiting y'all
35:04
bodies for personal gain, then
35:06
post for likes, views, and engagement
35:09
for payment. This is clearly commercial
35:12
prostitution. You can
35:14
do nothing.
35:20
Then another one wrote, um yeah,
35:23
Then another one wrote anything for social media.
35:25
Well. Eighteen year old Pulma addressed the situation
35:28
in writing she said, I posted a picture of me
35:30
and my mama Badu and some cute form
35:32
fitting pants. I'm an adult, what's
35:34
the real issue? Meanwhile, Erica
35:36
has been cracking jokes saying wait
35:39
till you all see the inside's heart mind
35:41
and spirit. Next year, I'll show you all a
35:42
sonogram X ray
35:45
of my colon. The doctor says, and I quote,
35:47
is just the prettiest thing I've ever seen. Yes,
35:54
I love it. I love it all
35:56
right. Coming up, coming
35:59
up into twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have
36:01
more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right
36:03
after this. You're listening to
36:05
the Stave Harvey Morning Show. Well.
36:08
The start of twenty twenty three has seen
36:10
an alarming spike and gun violence,
36:12
with forty mass shootings
36:15
so far this month. We
36:17
are still in January, Okay. The
36:20
Gun Violence Archive, which tracks
36:22
shootings across the country and defines mass
36:24
shooting as an incident where at least
36:26
four victims are injured or killed, says
36:29
seventy three people have so far been
36:32
killed this year. There were six
36:34
mass shootings in January alone,
36:36
and only seven days this month
36:39
which haven't seen a mass shooting. The recent
36:41
shooting this past Sunday in Monterey
36:43
Park, California, where twelve people were killed
36:45
and nine others were injured. Just
36:48
two days later, eight people were killed
36:50
in separate shootings in California's Bay
36:52
Area. There was another shooting
36:54
recently in North Carolina, and just yesterday
36:57
another shooting in Washington State.
36:59
President Biden said in a statement,
37:02
quote, we know the scourge of gun
37:04
violence across America requires
37:06
stronger action. The President spoke
37:08
about bills introduced Monday by
37:10
Senate Democrats, including a federal assault
37:13
weapons band and legislation that
37:15
would raise the minimum purchase age for assault
37:18
weapons to twenty one. The President
37:20
went on to say, I once again urge
37:22
both Chambers of Commerce to act quickly
37:25
and deliver this assault weapons band to my
37:27
desk and take actions to keep American
37:29
communities, schools, workplaces, and
37:32
home safe. So will
37:35
anything be done? I
37:38
doubt it. Yeah,
37:44
So Congress is just going to keep
37:46
saying thoughts and prayers, no action,
37:49
nothing, nothing. They
37:52
I mean, twenty one something donates
37:56
too much money to the Republican Party
37:59
for the republic In candidates to
38:01
open their damn mouth, because if you
38:03
open up your mouth against the Second Amendment,
38:06
they will take their money and put it
38:08
into the opposing candidate candidate
38:11
and make sure they win. So
38:16
this is more important than lives. I mean,
38:18
we saw it when
38:20
we all know that their main objective
38:23
is power, money and control and
38:25
money and nothing supersedes
38:28
that, including human life
38:30
until it comes down to your
38:33
damn that's your
38:35
life or your child. Until
38:38
that happens, man, it's business
38:40
as usual. This is this
38:43
is sad, this is crazy

41:26
talked about this daily run um
41:28
the distance and the times and all of that,
41:30
and a call from South Carolina has
41:32
an issue with it. Take a listen, hey,
41:34
look, bit man, there's little call technic nephews
41:39
term me is not running to leave miles
41:42
in ten minutes, No way possible.
41:44
Tell him, I said that you
41:47
heard that wrong. I never said I'm running
41:50
three miles and ten minutes. I said I'm running ten
41:52
minutes a ten minute mile pace, which
41:54
is thirty minutes. There's no way I can run
41:57
three miles and ten minutes. So if you
41:59
if that's what you think you heard, No, I can't
42:01
do that. That's impossible for me. I'm sorry.
42:03
So right now I'm averaging nine nine minute
42:06
fifteen second mile. That's what I'm doing. Okay,
42:08
So I even I ain't gonna lie about
42:10
this. Yeah, timing you right now?
42:12
What's his name? Sherley? He didn't
42:14
leave this. He didn't leave his name. Hey man,
42:17
you know here awere he ain't said he
42:19

42:38
anytime Timmy didn't say that.
42:40
Man. Ain't
42:42
impossible for me, buddy, It's
42:44
impossible for anybody.
42:46
Yeah, ain't a human nowhere.
42:49
I can run three miles in ten damn
42:51
minutes if you did little
42:53
every record. This
42:57
food is running through the
43:01
Oh my god, go ahead,
43:04
all right, This is another caller.
43:06
This one's pretty serious, Steve. This caller
43:08
is from Philly and they're upset about
43:11
the violence with young black men.
43:14
Good morning, is Steve. I'm from Philadelphia.
43:17
My name is Vince. This country really
43:19
needs your help because these black young
43:21
men are killing each other at an alarming
43:23
rate, and in the next ten to fifteen
43:26
years there will not be any
43:28
forty to forty five year old blackness.
43:31
You really need your help on this one, Steve.
43:34
You know, man, I'm willing to help.
43:36
I really am. What's
43:38
the starting point? How
43:41
do we reach them? I mean, because
43:43
we've got to get Hey,
43:46
man, we've got to reach these
43:48
gangs ogez
43:51
what they call ogs. They
43:53
could reach them to see and I hate
43:56
that slogan that they have you can't tell
43:58
the young ones nothing. Well, you talked
44:00
him into the game, you
44:02
said everything you needed to do to lure
44:05
them in. Somebody
44:07
has the answers to this. Um, I'm
44:10
more than willing to help. I
44:12
really really am. But that's basically
44:15
what my mentoring program is. Man. I try
44:17
to head it off early as as
44:19
I can, but it's not enough.
44:21
We need more, We need more. Yeah,
44:24
all right, Steve, thank you. Yeah.
44:27
Coming up next, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey
44:29
Morning Show right after this. You're
44:32
listening to Steve Harvey Morning
44:34
Show coming up
44:36
at the top of the hour, about four minutes
44:38
after. It's my Strawberry letter for it today
44:40
and the subject is they
44:42
want to see the place without me? All
44:45
right, we'll get into that, find out what that's all about.
44:48
And just a few but right now,
44:50
the nephew is here with today's
44:53
prank phone call. But you got who
44:55
are you're pranking? What you got? I'm gonna lean
44:57
on stupid for a minute. I'm gonna lean
45:00
on it. Ain't on a minute. Yeah, I'm
45:02
gonna lean on it and give y'all every
45:05
bit of stupid that I can give you, every
45:07
bit of it, you know, I'm gonna ranch
45:09
it like a like an old dish rag. Just ranch
45:12
it. I'm gonna ranch it and get all the stupid
45:14
out of it. Hidi, your wife
45:18
gave me a disease.
45:24
Your wife gave me
45:26
a disease. I got the gone
45:29
tell it now, I got the gone tell it. I
45:31
got to tell it. Tell us told Let's go catch dog. Your
45:33
wife gave me a
45:36
disease. Run it if you hood. Hello,
45:39
Hello, I'm trying to reach out. I'm trying to reach Dante.
45:42
Yeah, this is sound who this Hey? How you doing?
45:44
Man? Just to be a certain
45:46
you, Dante is married to Tammy, right, yeah,
45:49
okay, cool? Cool? So listen man.
45:52
Uh so you've heard about me, you
45:54
know, maybe heard my name before because
45:56
I used to day Sammy way before you guys
45:58
got married. Uh you know
46:00
my name is, My name is Marcella. So I just want
46:02
to call and say how you doing? But I need to say okay,
46:06
yeah, I know she mentioned you mentioned
46:08
y'all used to be together before
46:10
we Yeah, okay, I've heard about you. What's
46:13
um? What's the phone call for? I
46:15
needed to talk to you, man, and
46:18
I've been holding this back at least
46:20
four years. You know I haven't said anything,
46:23
and you know I can't hold it no more. Man,
46:25
I'm going through so many issues right now. I
46:28
just gotta I gotta get this thing. I
46:30
gotta get this some grips on this thing that I'm going
46:32
through. But you know, I wanted
46:34
to come to you, man to man, talk to you about
46:36
this situation. You know. I hate
46:38
to bring it to you like this, but when me and
46:40
Cammy were together, I
46:43
don't even to say, when we were together,
46:46
Tammy gave me a diceed man. So
46:51
you know I've been holding this, you know,
46:53
and I gotta say, all right, I wanted
46:55
to hit you up. I thought about it two years
46:57
ago. I
46:59
wanted. But you're like, what do you mean,
47:01
like she gave you a disease? She
47:04
gave me a disease about four plus
47:06
years ago, this way before y'all got married. I'm
47:08
from understanding of y'all been married about three years
47:10
right, Yeah, Oh
47:13
my god, okay,
47:15
okay, and you're calling me, you're calling
47:17
me to give me the heads up. Oh
47:20
man, I'm calling because
47:22
dude, these are the medical bills
47:25
and all this that's just completely out of control.
47:27
I can't even you know, I can't take care
47:29
of myself no more with this, you know,
47:31
and I don't feel like I have to because she the
47:34
one that gave me the day of disease. Okay,
47:37
So you're calling because you want you want
47:39
me to pay for you want you want us
47:41
to pay for your medical bills. Dude,
47:45
I mean, damn, dude, I mean put yourself in my position.
47:47
Mary, I mean what the brothers post with you?
47:49
You know, I'm sitting over here with a disease somebody
47:51
gave me, and you know they're
47:53
going on what they like. Boh yeah, but
47:56
this is so you're calling me, calling
47:58
me my wife gave you a disease. First
48:00
of all, she would have told me that. Secondly,
48:03
now you're telling me like I might have
48:05
some. You gotta be kidding me, Well,
48:07
what did she give you? What disease are
48:09
you talking about? Man? At this point,
48:12
you know, I don't even want to discuss it. I just want to
48:14
get on board. Let's can we get some
48:16
kind of understanding with the medical fields that I
48:18
can't inside of control. Man, I'm
48:21
not paying, Okay, I'm not gonna pay for
48:23
your medical bills, especially when I don't even know
48:25
what those do you mean what
48:27
you mean she gave you a disease? Man, I'm over. You're freaking
48:29
the out, dude, Dude,

I said, Oh hey, yo, Yo, you need call
48:43

48:45
You're telling me something you have do you caught
48:47
four or five years ago? Well? What is
48:49
this? Some it's son cheerable? What the
48:52
disease are you talking about? Man, dude.
48:54
I'm all I'm trying, dude, regardless
48:57
of what it is, I'm trying to handle the medical
48:59
field. Flo it, man, That's what I'm trying
49:01
to do. Dude, boy, kind of metical bills? Could
49:03
you have for some you caught four
49:06
years ago? Like four years ago, you should
49:08
have been able to six sessions? What is it? Dude?
49:11
She gave me the disease and now I
49:13
need somebody to play these damn bills.
49:15
That's all I'm saying to you. All Right,
49:17

49:21
I'm telling you what I'm telling you. Marceello
49:23

54:38
No subject
54:44
they went to the place without
54:46
me. Dear Stephen Shirley, My husband
54:48
claims he was trying to do something sweet
54:50
and thoughtful, but it's backfired. It's
54:52
backfired on him. He decided
54:54
we would go to an island for our tenth
54:56
anniversary, and he invited four
54:59
couples to join us, but they couldn't give
55:01
me any details about the trip because
55:03
my husband wanted to surprise me. Last
55:06
weekend, my husband and my husband informed
55:08
me that he planned a trip to go visit the hotel,
55:11
check out boat rentals, and plan some
55:13
activities for our big weekend trip.
55:15
He said it would be a quick trip and he was taking
55:18
his buddy with him to help him
55:20
plan everything. He left
55:22
on Friday and texted me when he
55:25
landed. It was a long flight, so
55:27
he said he was going straight to his room and
55:29
get in the bed. I didn't
55:31
hear from him until four pm the next
55:34
day. I tried to FaceTime him
55:36
and he declined it, but then
55:38
he called me back on a regular call a
55:41
few minutes later, and it was loud
55:43
wherever he was. Then one
55:45
of my girlfriends texted me a picture
55:48
of a lady whose name
55:50
was Amber, on a boat in Cancoon.
55:54
I don't like Amber because she has been
55:56
friends with my husband for fifteen years
55:58
and she acts like she knows him a
56:01
lot better than I do. I
56:03
could not help but think Amber was wherever
56:06
my husband was. I called
56:08
him back to back. He didn't
56:10
answer, so I sent him at least ten
56:12
text messages. He finally
56:14
responded, yes, Amber is
56:16
helping me plan your weekend getaway,
56:19
and yes she is here with me. He
56:21
got home later that night and tried to plead
56:23
his case. But I've ignored him for over
56:26
a week. He must think I'm stupid.
56:28
How could this place ever be special to
56:31
me? Now that he's taken Amber
56:33
there. I told him to cancel the whole
56:35
trip. He said, I'm overreacting.
56:37
Why couldn't he Why couldn't he say
56:39
that he was going with Amber? Well,
56:42
he did tell you that he was going with a buddy,
56:44
and Amber is a buddy, but you know, not
56:46
the kind of buddy. Of course,
56:49
you know that was that you
56:51
thought he was talking about. And Amber
56:53
is wrong and he is wrong. Absolutely
56:56
they're both wrong for doing
56:58
this. He didn't mention it because
57:00
he knew you would be mad and probably explode
57:02
on him, and you would be right, absolutely
57:06
right. Your husband, though, who
57:11
your husband is thoughtful, I'll give him
57:13
that, but he's not very smart. He's not smart
57:15
at all. It was great that he wanted to do
57:17
something wonderful for your tenth anniversary,
57:20
but to plan it with this
57:22
Amber chick who he knows you can't
57:24
stand that beyond stupid
57:27
on his part, how is someone
57:29
you don't like gonna care enough to plan
57:32
a sexy, beautiful, awesome, memorable
57:34
celebration for you? And Amber
57:36
is stupid too for going over there in the
57:38
first place. And why wasn't he answering
57:40
her phone while he was all
57:43
over there with Amber? This had disaster
57:45
written all over at the moment your husband
57:47
included her. And I don't blame
57:49
you for canceling the trip or being
57:52
upset or anything. You're not overreacting.
57:54
You're acting as any wife would when
57:56
their husband asks a woman you don't like to help
57:58
plan something special for you. Get
58:00
out of here with this. Uh, Steve,
58:03
this is ridiculous, you
58:05
know this
58:12
letter, man, It's just this
58:16
is when men do stuff so
58:19
stupid that
58:22
I can't help you. Dog,
58:24
I can't help you at all. Bro, I
58:27
can't even joke this one out. No.
58:29
I could tell you him funny stuff make
58:32
you think, but it's it's not believable.
58:35
Now, let's just start at the bottom
58:37
of this letter. The subject is they went to
58:39
see the place with album. Her
58:42
last line in this letter says, he
58:45
says, I'm overreacting. Why
58:48
couldn't he say he
58:50
was going with Amber
58:53
because it is See,
58:56
we know why because of
58:58
this, he
59:00
can't come out and tell you this thing, this trip
59:03
is with Amble because all it is
59:06
the letter the reaction. He
59:09
want this, so he didn't
59:11
mention Amble. Now
59:15
does that make it right? This dude is
59:18
so dumb on so
59:20
many damn levels, you know, Bros.
59:22
I try to work with y'all sometimes get y'all
59:25
benefit of the doubt, and I will when
59:27
I can. But
59:29
Bro, when you do something so blatantly
59:31
stupid, man, I can't help you. Man what you want
59:33
me to do? I got
59:35
women that listen to this show and
59:39
then actually care about Uncle Steve's advice.
59:41
Now most of y'all know when I'm joking, y'all
59:44
know what I'm saying. Well, he did this cause
59:46
of that, and you know, you know, I'm just because
59:49
sometimes it's so obviously stupid. But
59:52
this is beyond obviously
59:54
stupid, because this had
59:57
an element of cunning involved.
1:00:01
And this is the part where I don't and I don't
1:00:04
like it because it was a special
1:00:06
occasion. This is where dudes
1:00:09
get in the most. He
1:00:11
decided that y'all will go on to island for
1:00:13
y'all's tenth anniversary. Okay,
1:00:15
Green, he invited
1:00:18
folk keep people to join us. Now
1:00:20
that's called you know, he got split the costs of this island
1:00:22
and all this hill maybe or
1:00:24
maybe you know, they just wanted some company, and
1:00:26
now all that's cool too, But
1:00:29
they couldn't give you any details about the trip
1:00:31
because my husband wanted to surprise
1:00:33
me. All right, so we come
1:00:35
back. I'm gonna show you how he tried
1:00:38
to surprise you. All
1:00:41
right, we'll have part two of Steve's response.
1:00:43
Can't wait for this coming up in
1:00:45
twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's
1:00:47
Strawberry Letters subject they went
1:00:49
to see the place without me. We'll get back
1:00:51
into it right after this. You're
1:00:54
listening to the show,
1:00:57
all right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's
1:00:59
Strawberry letter or the subject is they
1:01:01
want to see the place without me. I'm
1:01:05
gonna apologize to women out there that's
1:01:07
listening to this because I just
1:01:09
can't even play around. I don't even know
1:01:11
where we're going with this right here. The
1:01:14
question she posed at the end of the letter
1:01:16
was why couldn't he say he was going with Amber?
1:01:19
And because of this. This is why
1:01:21
he didn't tell you about Amber because
1:01:23
of the reaction you have him right now in this
1:01:25
letter. And the part I don't like, bro
1:01:28
is he used a special occasion to
1:01:30
pull it off. This is where
1:01:32
the dog come in at and
1:01:34
this is what I don't like. So
1:01:37
he decided we go to an island for our
1:01:39
tenth anniversary. He invited folk couples
1:01:41
to join us, but
1:01:43
they couldn't give us any details about
1:01:45
the trip because my husband wanted to surprise
1:01:48
me. Okay, that
1:01:51
sounds cool, But last
1:01:53
weekend my husband informed me that he
1:01:56
planned the trip to go visit the hotel,
1:01:59
check out both rentals, and playing
1:02:01
some activities for our big weekend. He
1:02:04
said to be a quick trip and he was taking his buddy
1:02:07
with him to help him playing everything right
1:02:10
here. Why
1:02:13
would you say you taking your
1:02:15
buddy with you to help you playing
1:02:18
everything just right?
1:02:20
The dog? He shouldn't
1:02:22
have said it, but
1:02:26
he shouldn't have did it, because
1:02:28
this is for your tenth anniversary. Man,
1:02:31
you don't take special moments and
1:02:34
include trickery.
1:02:36
Yeah, that's where
1:02:38
the doggish part come in that man, And
1:02:41
that's what I'm a little ticked off with you
1:02:43
about. He said to be a quick
1:02:45
trip. He's taking his buddy with him to help him playing
1:02:47
everything. He left on Friday, text
1:02:49
me when he landed. Okay,
1:02:53
it was a long flight, so he said he was
1:02:55
going straight to his room and get into bed.
1:02:58
He did. I
1:03:01
didn't hear from him until folk him the
1:03:03
next day. I
1:03:05
tried to FaceTime him and he declined
1:03:08
it. See why declined
1:03:10
it? Just Let listen to me though.
1:03:13
Decline it means you saw it and hit
1:03:16
the red button. Just
1:03:20
let it ring. It's gold.
1:03:22
Stop. Why
1:03:27
are you declining it? You
1:03:32
never saw it? Stupid,
1:03:36
can't center in the man. He
1:03:40
calls me back on a regular call a
1:03:42
few minutes later, and it was loud wherever
1:03:44
he was. He was at the club. One
1:03:49
of my girlfriends take me a picture of
1:03:51
a lady named Amber on a boat in
1:03:53
can Koon. I don't like Amba
1:03:56
because she has been friends with my husband for
1:03:58
fifteen years and she acts like she knows him
1:04:00
a lot better than I do. Well she do. He
1:04:04
took her on the trip. Now, let
1:04:06
me tell you how you got to picture Amber
1:04:09
on the boat in can Koon. Because
1:04:12
one of the folk couples that y'all
1:04:14
went to one of the folk
1:04:16
couples. Dude set
1:04:20
up here and took a picture, got
1:04:24
a picture from his boy of Amber or
1:04:28
Amber is friends with one of
1:04:30
the girls, and sent how
1:04:32
the picture tell about we down here
1:04:35
playing in the trip, and the girls
1:04:37
sent a picture to you Amber
1:04:42
is in the picture and Amber either
1:04:44
center picture or the dumb ass husband
1:04:47
say yeah, man, me and me and Amber and
1:04:49
his boat we down here, and his wife saw
1:04:51
it as one of the other couples that you
1:04:55
so stupid.
1:05:01
Well it didn't said that. Text
1:05:03
me a picture of a lady named Amber boat
1:05:06
the girlfriend I don't like Amba.
1:05:08
I cannot help but think that Amber was whoever.
1:05:10
My husband was absolutely
1:05:13
right. I called
1:05:15
him back to back to back. He didn't answer, so
1:05:17
I sent him at least ten text messages.
1:05:21
We've all been here. He
1:05:24
finally responded, And
1:05:27
then this is what this fool said. Yes,
1:05:30
Amber is helping me playing your
1:05:32
weekend getaway, and yes she
1:05:35
is here with me. He knows
1:05:37
he's wrong. Dog, What
1:05:41
are you nuts? It's
1:05:43
no way I could have admitted
1:05:45
that I would even dare what the pictures
1:05:48
say? Well, I was the picture you
1:05:50
got the pictures. I don't care. Oh, I
1:05:52
wasn't in a picture that
1:05:56
is you. It's
1:05:58
not me. That is your
1:06:01
head in
1:06:03
Mexico. You know how many people in Mexico look like
1:06:05
me? A lot? Done? They
1:06:09
found the one who did. How
1:06:15
could his he ignored
1:06:17
me for then? Okay, anyway, he got home
1:06:19
later that night and tried to plead this case. I've
1:06:22
ignored him for over a week. He must think I'm stupid.
1:06:24
How could this place ever be special to
1:06:26
me? Now that he's taking Amber there?
1:06:28
I told him to cancel the whole trip, and
1:06:31
I could understand you doing that, he said,
1:06:34
I'm overreacting. Why couldn't he say
1:06:36
he was going with amb? He
1:06:39
can't tell you taking Amber? You
1:06:41
face time? He declined it he
1:06:44
in a loud atmosphere. He calls
1:06:46
you back later. I mean,
1:06:48
come on, he
1:06:50
should have never took amb. But this is stupid
1:06:53
on so many levels. It
1:06:56
just ignorance, man, dog and Bro,
1:06:59
you got to with the bid, you the maid. You gotta
1:07:01
lay in this one. Bro, I'm sorry, I don't know.
1:07:03
I don't know what to tell you. This is ignorant. All
1:07:05
right, You're so damned. Thank you? Steve. Post
1:07:08
your comments on Today's Strawberry Letter
1:07:10
at Steve Harvey FM, on Instagram and face.
1:07:13
Check out the Bwberry Letter podcast
1:07:15
on demand coming up in forty
1:07:17
six minutes after in Sports Talk with Junior.
1:07:20
Right after this, you're listening to
1:07:22
Steve Harvey Morning Show. All
1:07:25
right, ladies and gentlemen, Junior is here
1:07:27
now with Sports Talk. What you got, Junior,
1:07:29
please please just stop,
1:07:32
just ease up on the Cowboys. God,
1:07:34
they let
1:07:37
me tell you, baby, you can't make this up. This
1:07:39
is actually a true story. That was
1:07:41
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott
1:07:44
and his girlfriend for two years, how
1:07:46
with their separate ways? Now, yeah,
1:07:49
she left them because they say it. The Beans
1:07:52
say she left because she couldn't see no
1:07:54
ring coming.
1:07:58
God, lead colo.
1:08:01
He gave his bitch shot his girl.
1:08:06
Okay, Junior, Yeah, they
1:08:09
say Dak got into the locker
1:08:11
room and threw his helmet and
1:08:14
guess what. Somebody called
1:08:16
it. Somebody accepted it. Dog,
1:08:22
Just do it. That manure
1:08:25
of his girlfrid, Oh yeah,
1:08:28
the picture of mine. You know the other thing too,
1:08:30
man, This is how serious. Man. Everybody's really mad
1:08:32
at Dak Prescott because Michael Parson's linebacker
1:08:35
for the Dallas Cowboys, says
1:08:37
that three out of the four quarterbacks in the in
1:08:39
the Championship Games. Three out
1:08:41
of four quarterbacks in the Champion Games have rookie
1:08:43
contracts. He's talking about
1:08:46
Brock Purdy, Javid Hurts still his rookie
1:08:48
deal, and Joe Burrow. Now that he's
1:08:50
saying that wef we just get rid of dak Prescott,
1:08:53
maybe we can get some more talent in here at
1:08:55
quarterback. And
1:08:58
he just put that out there. Man, that's not even
1:09:00
really something you should be saying like that
1:09:02
because they just said yes.
1:09:05
Man, it is like they are internal over
1:09:07
in Dallas. Man, they don't like him. I
1:09:10
mean, look, I don't want to see
1:09:12
that go. I don't I don't want to see him go eat. I
1:09:14
don't want to see that. I really don't want to see him go.
1:09:16
So is there a way to fix the Cowboys?
1:09:19
Is Daktor Prescott the man in Dallas?
1:09:21
Should he stay? Should he get another
1:09:23
season? You know, Junior,
1:09:25
you're asking if somebody who never gave damn
1:09:28
by the Cowboys.
1:09:31
Let me just give your brief history moment. When I
1:09:33
was a little boy, the Dallas Cowboys
1:09:35
was in the North Division with the Cleveland
1:09:38
Browns. I have grown up since
1:09:40
a boy hating the Dallas
1:09:42
Cows the wrong person. I did. Now. When they
1:09:44
broke up the AFC NFC and the Cowboys
1:09:46
went over to the NFC and the Browns stayed in the
1:09:48
AFC, my hatred for them never
1:09:51
ended. This
1:09:58
is boyhood hate. I don't even
1:10:01
know how to rid myself of that. My bad
1:10:03
luck. I didn't know that far. I hated Mary
1:10:05
Singleton as a boy to this day, sixty
1:10:07
six years later. He
1:10:13
lived on my street. Either
1:10:22
another boy lived on my street. I just never
1:10:24
forget it, all
1:10:27
right, hang all
1:10:30
right, rolled it off into
1:10:32
the back of a Cohn bent my realm. I didn't have no
1:10:34
money form, no new realm. Coming
1:10:37
up. At the top of the fan,
1:10:41
Steve, a woman needs your help. Right after
1:10:44
this, you're listening to Steve
1:10:47
Morning Show. Well,
1:10:50
Steve, this one's for you. This one's from Derek
1:10:52
on Facebook. He writes, I finally
1:10:54
started dating again after a divorce
1:10:56
and two years off. These days, I
1:10:58
share custody of my with my wife,
1:11:01
and I have my little girl, Kelsey
1:11:03
over every other weekend. The downside
1:11:06
is that I made the mistake of introducing
1:11:08
the woman I've been seeing to my daughter
1:11:11
and have regretted it ever since.
1:11:13
Even though she's not a parent and has
1:11:15
only known my daughter for less than a
1:11:17
month. She somehow got the
1:11:20
idea in her head that she has
1:11:22
the right to punish and discipline Kelsey
1:11:24
when she comes over. It's led
1:11:27
to some uncomfortable moments and
1:11:29
it needs to stop. Is this the
1:11:31
relationship killer that I think it is? The
1:11:33
relationship with my little girl is far
1:11:35
more important, and there's a line that's going
1:11:37
to be crossed if I don't
1:11:40
control it. So yeah,
1:11:43
just a deal, break it. It's better she
1:11:45
don't understand it, you better, and if
1:11:47
the mama fund right? Dude,
1:11:53
Kelsey, Mama, Man,
1:11:55
it's not good brocause I'm a little
1:11:57
stunned anyway. What you
1:12:00
finally started dating after your divorce
1:12:02
and waited two years? Who
1:12:05
do that? Yeah?
1:12:07
I'm not really sure that's the truth, bro, because
1:12:11
me and we don't. We don't wait two years
1:12:13
to date. That's not who we are,
1:12:16
even if you have a little girl to raise or
1:12:18
whatever. Maybe he was concentrating
1:12:20
on his baborite, that's cool. Yeah, no,
1:12:23
no, no, she got to go to sleep though. Somebody
1:12:27
coming over here, somebody coming
1:12:29
over here when baby go bad? Right
1:12:32
now, two years we've
1:12:34
been to move your bad time up you've been get on,
1:12:36
boy've been a lock on your damn thought
1:12:41
two years
1:12:48
what you moved it up to? Bad time? Was that now? When
1:12:50
you moving it up to six thirty?
1:12:57
We ain't got them on TVs in't here nothing, no
1:13:00
paid off all
1:13:03
the internet in this house. Go off it.
1:13:06
But daddy, I'm not sleeping. I
1:13:09
didn't ask you when you sleep. I
1:13:12
said go to bed. And I don't give a damn what you're
1:13:14
doing now, Daddy, I need
1:13:16
some help with my homework. I
1:13:19
don't know about that damn homework.
1:13:22
I got somebody coming over here. We can get the elf.
1:13:24
We can deal with the l want
1:13:28
to fail? Are
1:13:31
you want me to fail? Are
1:13:36
you helping Derek? He needs your help here,
1:13:38
Steve? What what? What do
1:13:40
you want? Shall? He wants
1:13:43
to know? Is this relationship killer that he
1:13:45
thinks it is, because yeah,
1:13:48
okay, so he should do she and it disciplined
1:13:50
in his baby and dog. You
1:13:53
got to get some permission. You've on't eve been around
1:13:55
for one month and you're
1:13:57
talking about she gonna cross the line. You already know
1:13:59
what it's going bro. Bro
1:14:07
all y'all going out jail cack
1:14:09
out. All
1:14:12
right, here's another one, another relationship question
1:14:14
from Tracy Steve uh. This
1:14:16
is from Steve Steve Harvey dot
1:14:18
com. It's been over two years since I was in a
1:14:20
relationship. I have a pretty active social
1:14:22
life. I meet lots of new people, but I just
1:14:24
don't never seem to meet anyone that I'm particularly
1:14:27
attracted to. I'm
1:14:29
afraid that I'm going to spend the rest of my life
1:14:31
alone. Is there's something wrong with me? Should I
1:14:33
be doing something different? Yeah?
1:14:36
First of all, why don't you quit putting that into atmosphere
1:14:40
that is
1:14:42
something wrong with you? Am
1:14:45
I doing something wrong? I'm
1:14:47
socially in app Why don't you stop
1:14:50
saying that. It's been two years. If you saying
1:14:52
that, and so you keep
1:14:54
attracting the wrong people, and
1:14:57
you keep claiming that you're socially in
1:14:59
app so you keep winding up
1:15:01
in the same situation. Positive
1:15:03
affirmation is the first thing you need to
1:15:05
do that every
1:15:07
day, in every way,
1:15:10
I'm getting better and better.
1:15:13
All right, Thank you? That was good. Coming
1:15:15
up at twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have more
1:15:18
of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after
1:15:20
this. You're listening show,
1:15:26
all right, So Steve our last break, we
1:15:28
were talking trying to
1:15:30
help Tracy, who said, you
1:15:32
know, she's it's been two years since she's
1:15:34
been in a relationship. She has a pretty active
1:15:36
social life. She meets new people, but
1:15:39
she doesn't ever meet anyone that she's
1:15:41
interested in. And she's asking herself,
1:15:43
is there something wrong with her? Should she
1:15:46
be doing something different? And you said,
1:15:48
don't put that out in the atmosphere first,
1:15:50
what you know, like, is it something
1:15:53
wrong with her? I think only she
1:15:55
can answer that question. But now, what
1:15:57
a lot to mistake a lot of women do is
1:16:00
they listen to other people talking about girl,
1:16:02
you too picky and all iss here. And there's
1:16:04
no such thing as being too picky
1:16:06
unless you're underqualified
1:16:10
for the things that a man has to be
1:16:12
qualified for. See, if
1:16:14
you're looking for a man that's all that, then
1:16:16
I hate to tell you these ladies, but you need to
1:16:18
be all that too, right, That's
1:16:21
a huge part of it. And a
1:16:23
lot of times you go in here and you dump all
1:16:25
this on this man, but then the man
1:16:27
wants something dumped on him too. And
1:16:29
if you're not gonna be what you're looking for,
1:16:33
what do you think a man who has all
1:16:35
that is looking? Y'all think we're just out
1:16:37
here because you got some lashes on. That's what
1:16:39
you think. If you watch the African
1:16:42
Famous and Rich. You've seen that show.
1:16:46
I don't know how they open
1:16:48
their eyes with the shows.
1:16:55
Man, touch
1:16:58
your eyebrows.
1:17:01
Coming up in thirty three minutes, thank you. See
1:17:04
thirty three minutes after the hour, we'll play
1:17:06
a round off. Would you rather right after this
1:17:09
you're listening
1:17:10
to show, It
1:17:12
is time now for a round of would you rather?
1:17:15
Would you rather fight
1:17:17
a tiger or a
1:17:19
bear? Which one? Oh?
1:17:22
I'm losing one, but
1:17:25
you have to you gotta ask
1:17:28
you a dad, I
1:17:32
can't beat that. I can't out run down one
1:17:35
of them. I can't. That's that's that's
1:17:37
we out. Let
1:17:39
me get it overway, give me a tiger. Clo.
1:17:45
Okay, I get that tiger. He packed
1:17:47
tiger? He did? Yeah, all
1:17:49
right? Would you rather play basketball with Michael
1:17:51
Jordan or Lebron James
1:17:55
against him? Yeah?
1:17:57
With them, with them, just to play
1:17:59
just to what what is that
1:18:01
fall? But
1:18:04
you would you rather be able to play
1:18:06
with Michael Jordan or Lebron Jacks? It's
1:18:08
just what you play
1:18:11
play basketball with. You
1:18:13
should have said something else, like, you know, man,
1:18:16
we gonna play golf. You
1:18:20
don't want to. You don't want to play basketball?
1:18:23
No, I don't want to as
1:18:25
well play against the band the Tiger. I mean, what
1:18:27
is sixty six
1:18:31
play on? It ain't even gonna look like basketball.
1:18:36
It's gonna really happen the Tiger. Yeah,
1:18:39
we just playing the game, guys.
1:18:42
Okay, all right, we're getting back to
1:18:44
the animals. Now. Would you rather put your head in
1:18:46
a lion's mouth or would you rather water
1:18:48
ski over a shark tank? Okay,
1:18:52
okay, I
1:18:54
don't know, Yeah,
1:19:01
answer the question. Question,
1:19:04
that's all putting my head in no lines
1:19:06
month. I showed them want the word skiing,
1:19:08
no shark tank, but give me the shark tank.
1:19:11
I can't say. Yeah,
1:19:15
I mean I'm on skis, you know. That's
1:19:17
all I can tell you. Well, Hello, you think
1:19:19
you're gonna be on and
1:19:22
you know I started screaming, Yeah,
1:19:32
we're just gonna be standing here all
1:19:35
damn. I'm
1:19:38
not going in there. I'm not gonna put my head. I'm
1:19:40
sorry. All right, what you
1:19:43
do? We're moving on because
1:19:45
you guys suck? All right? Would you rather have
1:19:48
hands that kept growing as you got
1:19:50
older or feet that kept growing
1:19:52
as you get older. What
1:19:56
where you get these looks
1:19:59
like? Yeah, yeah,
1:20:04
you would look like the hobby. Now
1:20:06
I'm just sitting up in here bathfoot in where
1:20:09
I go. Ye
1:20:12
six your feet look
1:20:16
at them? Eighteen? All
1:20:22
right? All right? Coming up
1:20:24
in forty nine minutes after the hour, we'll have
1:20:26
our last break of the day and we'll get some
1:20:28
closing remarks from the one and only Steve
1:20:30
Harvey right after this. You're
1:20:32
listening to the Steve Morning
1:20:34
Show. It is time now for today's
1:20:37
closing remarks. But Steve, before we get
1:20:39
to you, um, we have
1:20:41
to say a prayer for the victims
1:20:43
of an extra alarm fire that happened
1:20:46
on yesterday in Chicago and a Kinwood
1:20:48
neighborhood. It was in a high rise building.
1:20:51
According to the Black Information Network,
1:20:53
this fire burned through several floors.
1:20:56
According to city records, this building
1:20:58
has been sighted from multiple city
1:21:00
code violations. Investigators
1:21:02
are looking into the cause of the fire,
1:21:05
and all we can say is, please keep
1:21:07
listening to our homestation in Chicago.
1:21:09
That would be B one oh three for
1:21:12
more on this developing story, and
1:21:14
definitely our prayers are going on. That's
1:21:18
horrible. I saw the debris. I saw it on
1:21:20
the news of debris flying from the
1:21:22
building. Horrible, horrible,
1:21:24
horrible, horrible, Praying for the
1:21:26
victims and their families. So sad. There's
1:21:28
so much going on, many, so much
1:21:30
going this world in which we live. You
1:21:38
know, it's a lot, you know, we
1:21:42
sometimes man, even
1:21:44
myself, I just found myself at a loss
1:21:48
with what happens on the news
1:21:52
in this country. Because
1:21:55
I've been very fortunate, and God
1:21:57
has graced me to be able to travel to
1:22:01
many, many different places. I
1:22:03
think traveling has really opened up my eyes
1:22:06
to a lot of things. Because I was very
1:22:08
very Americanized, I
1:22:11
was very very Western, because that's
1:22:13
why I grew up. Now, I
1:22:16
had a disadvantage growing up because of
1:22:18
who I was, the color of my
1:22:20
skin, that age, the period
1:22:22
that I grew up in. But through
1:22:25
God's grace, I got through and
1:22:27
I'm here now and it affords
1:22:30
me an incredible life that almost
1:22:32
almost never really saw coming. To
1:22:34
be honest with you, That's how I know its God's
1:22:37
grace, because I didn't. I didn't plan it
1:22:39
this way. You know. I had some hopes
1:22:41
and dreams and some visions, but I certainly
1:22:43
cannot tell you that I mapped this out.
1:22:46
I just didn't, man. And
1:22:48
the more I travel, the more
1:22:51
I've been awakened and
1:22:53
understanding of just
1:22:56
everything. Man, we have
1:22:59
been fed so much
1:23:01
misinformation about other
1:23:04
parts of the world. It's alarming.
1:23:08
It's alarming. And our
1:23:11
country's attitude of superiority
1:23:15
is well noted around the world.
1:23:18
Now, is America admired in some
1:23:21
places? Yes? Yes.
1:23:24
Do people aspire to come there for
1:23:26
opportunity, to come here for opportunity?
1:23:29
Yes? Yes. Do
1:23:32
they have any idea what all is over here?
1:23:34
I promise you you don't. I
1:23:37
promise you you don't. I
1:23:40
talk to Africans all
1:23:42
the time about
1:23:45
their strong desire to get to
1:23:47
the state because they see,
1:23:50
you know, opportunity. They see
1:23:52
all these videos, they see
1:23:55
these people who
1:23:57
are thriving, surviving, They see
1:23:59
all that. But
1:24:02
you got to pull the curtain back so
1:24:05
you can see all of it. And
1:24:08
it's it's really man.
1:24:11
If we could tie the two nations
1:24:13
together, if African
1:24:16
Americans could understand
1:24:18
the value of going to Africa
1:24:21
and understanding what's actually
1:24:23
there, if we could bridge
1:24:25
that gap, that would be
1:24:28
a solving of so many problems.
1:24:31
And you know, you
1:24:34
do you know that Africa is the only continent
1:24:37
on Earth that does not have to
1:24:40
import anything. They
1:24:42
don't need your food. They
1:24:44
have it there. They have the resources. Now
1:24:46
they don't have the roads and the infrastructure
1:24:49
to trade. But they got
1:24:51
food over there. They got all
1:24:53
the fruits, they got all the animals,
1:24:55
they have everything over there. They got
1:24:58
all the minerals, they
1:25:00
have everything. Africa
1:25:03
doesn't need to import anything.
1:25:06
America has to import resources,
1:25:09
Russia has to import stuff. Everywhere
1:25:12
I go has to import with the
1:25:14
exception of Africa. But
1:25:16
yet, and still that's such a cry to
1:25:18
leave there to come here. Man,
1:25:21
if we could go there and
1:25:23
look at the opportunities that were available.
1:25:27
Africa is the fastest growing
1:25:29
continent on Earth.
1:25:33
American business don't want you to
1:25:35
know that because they over there taking
1:25:38
They're not investing in Africa. They're
1:25:41
stripping it like they always have. They
1:25:43
started by stripping it of their people.
1:25:46
How do you think America got built?
1:25:49
First they stripped it of the people. Then they went
1:25:51
over they went, whoa, they have all
1:25:53
the resources. So
1:25:55
then they began stripping the resources.
1:25:58
So then the really slick part came
1:26:00
about when they said, wow, if we don't
1:26:02
help them and leave them in these
1:26:04
remote areas where they don't have
1:26:07
access to water and simple things.
1:26:09
We come in dig a well
1:26:12
in exchange for ownership of all
1:26:14
this land and everything that's in it. So
1:26:17
not just out of pure survival. Yes,
1:26:21
dig us this well. Bring
1:26:23
your technology to dig the well. Now we
1:26:25
got water or now they've given up
1:26:27
their resources. The stripping
1:26:29
of Africa has been going on for
1:26:32
hundreds of years. If
1:26:35
African Americans would
1:26:37
go to Africa and learn the
1:26:40
opportunities and take
1:26:42
your money and invest in infrastructure
1:26:44
and housing, in agriculture,
1:26:47
that's so much to do over
1:26:49
that it would strengthen the continent. That's
1:26:52
the longer conversation than I have time
1:26:54
for to take. But just
1:26:58
travel so you can see the world for what
1:27:00
it is instead of what America has made you
1:27:02
believe it to be. Those are my close remarks
1:27:04
today. Hey, listen, y'all talk to God. He'd
1:27:07
love to hear from you. Okay.
