1:05

hur you

1:24

gotta turn to

1:41

turnout, turn by,

1:43

got to turn out to turn turn

1:46

the water the water. Come,

1:58

come on your bab I

2:02

show well a good morning everybody,

2:04

y'all listening to the voice, Come

2:07

on dig me now, one and only

2:09

Steve Harvey got a radio show. I

2:12

have something and it so describes

2:14

how I was living. It's so captures

2:18

the feelings that I

2:21

had about beginning on

2:23

the pathway of my dreams. It

2:25

so describes how

2:27

I felt when

2:30

I was about to attempt something. And

2:32

I have some striking news for you. It

2:35

describes often how I feel still

2:38

today to a degree. So

2:40

let me tell you what that is. Here's an

2:42

analogy that I've

2:45

heard a couple of different ways,

2:48

but I've kind of, you know, fixed it around

2:50

to where I can drink it better, and

2:52

I think it fits my personality

2:55

to describe it to people best this way.

2:58

I've talked often about the urge and

3:00

see of doing something

3:02

with your life, of getting

3:05

started today, of stopping the procrastination

3:08

and putting it off, and waiting

3:10

on all your ducks to line up in a row,

3:12

and waiting till the stars aligned

3:14

themselves. If you ain't on such a thing,

3:17

you're never gonna get started. I don't

3:19

know too many people who can say that all

3:22

the ducks just lined up in a row. Things happen.

3:25

Even when you get them lined up. One of the

3:27

ducks get out of line, or somebody knock

3:29

over the domino, or something happens. But

3:32

here's the point I'm getting at. God

3:36

has so many

3:38

blessings available

3:41

to you. You

3:43

who's listening. God has

3:46

so many blessings available

3:48

to you from where you are right

3:51

now. I don't care

3:53

what you've gotten yourself into or

3:55

what you've done. God has

3:58

so many blessings that he

4:00

can send your way. But

4:03

you have to do something. See

4:06

a lot of people just sit around and go

4:08

man, and something always

4:10

happening to you. You're always getting a break, You're

4:13

always doing this. You always, man, don't

4:15

nothing come my way? Listen to

4:17

me. If nothing ever comes your way. You

4:19

know why that is? It's because you're not

4:21

doing anything. I promise

4:23

you you're not. Here's a deal. God

4:26

has all these blessings he wants to send

4:28

you, but you got to give him something

4:30

to work with. Now, come

4:33

on, God will bless you. God

4:35

can touch people's hearts on your behalf.

4:38

He can move situations around for

4:40

you. He can align the stars.

4:42

He can set the ducks up in the road. But

4:44

align the stars and move people around,

4:47

and touch people's hearts and set the ducks

4:49

up in the road. For what have

4:51

you put forth? Any effort? Have you made

4:54

a single step in any direction

4:56

to do the right thing or go the right way?

4:59

That gives him something to put his finger

5:01

on. Come on, man, God

5:05

can only bless you according

5:07

to your faith. If you have a

5:09

little bit of faith, give him that. Let him work

5:11

with that. You know, man, I didn't always

5:14

start with these speeches you're hear in the morning

5:16

now. I ain't always had these. I grew to

5:18

these. I stumbled my way

5:20

to these. I messed up

5:23

my way to these. Hell, I got

5:25

it wrong so many times to be

5:27

able to sound like I got some sense, I

5:30

said it often. Failure is a wonderful

5:32

teacher. Do you know how many times

5:34

I have had to have failed to have

5:37

what I have in my head today. I'm

5:39

telling you, man, it's a process.

5:42

People get mad at the process. You

5:44

got to do something to give God

5:46

something to work with. He'll bless you. But what

5:48

you want me to bless If you ain't putting forth any

5:51

effort, you can get blessed

5:53

from whoever you are in your life. Wherever

5:55

your starting point is, wherever

5:57

you find yourself wound up, you

6:00

can get it back from. Now. I've done it, man,

6:03

by the grace of God, I've done it. I got

6:05

over. Man. I learned some things along

6:08

the way. Because here's a deal. As long as

6:10

God keeps waking you up in the morning, he

6:12

ain't through with you yet. When he's done, you're

6:14

done. But if God still has a plan

6:16

for you you wake up in the morning, He's still

6:19

got some more work for you to do. You wake up

6:21

in the morning. So if you keep waking up,

6:23

man, it's something that God wants from you, would

6:26

love to have from you, and he can

6:29

work with you, man, if you just walk towards

6:31

him a little bit. Here's a deal. I

6:34

know it's hard for the average

6:36

person to start because the

6:38

fear of the unknown is incredible. Well, what if

6:40

I fail, what if I don't get picked? You

6:43

know, one of the hardest things I ever did was

6:45

walking in to quit my job. Oh

6:48

man, let me tell you about that day when I decided

6:51

that I was going to be a full time comedian

6:53

after winning an amateur night one

6:56

time, quitting your job,

6:59

following your dream, going

7:01

forward despite all the nay says, it's

7:04

like stepping off a cliff. It's

7:07

like actually just walking off

7:09

the edge of a cliff, hoping,

7:12

hoping. Now not really knowing,

7:15

but hoping. Hoping

7:18

is the bad basis of

7:20

faith. I stepped

7:22

off that cliff hoping that

7:25

my parachute would open and

7:28

allow me to drift down. See.

7:31

I've never skydived before, but I would

7:34

imagine part of the thrill. And I don't know

7:36

this because I'm not going to skydive

7:38

to find out. I think

7:40

part of the thrill for people is the danger

7:44

part of throwing yourself out a plane and how

7:46

it feels to be free falling, but

7:49

the whole time they're free falling, having this

7:52

exhilarating over the top moment.

7:55

You have got to believe in your heart

7:58

of hearts, you have got the hope

8:00

with everything in you that when you pull this cord,

8:03

the shoot opens or else This

8:05

ain't a good move at all. But you've

8:07

packed your shoot yourself. You've

8:09

taken the lessons, so you go ahead

8:12

and you make the leap. Now, the only thing about

8:14

quitting your job and following your dream is

8:16

you ain't really been trained all that good

8:19

for this. You didn't packed your shoot, but

8:21

you ain't never opened it before. So

8:23

I walked off this cliff, That's what it was

8:25

like. And you following your dream is like you walking

8:28

off a cliff. Here's the part

8:30

where people don't never make the jump.

8:33

They see somebody like myself who

8:35

jumped off the cliff and the pass SHOOTE

8:37

don't open right away, and I hit

8:39

a couple of rocks on the way down. I

8:42

got my back cut up pretty bad. They

8:44

see that three years living in a

8:47

car man, he got his life toe down jumping

8:49

off that cliff. I ain't jumping off that cliff.

8:52

But see, what you don't understand is you

8:54

don't know it. But eventually

8:57

the shoot will open and

8:59

I'm the parachute opening part of my

9:01

life man, where a shoot then

9:04

open and I'm drifting and I'm

9:06

able to guide my SHOOTE over to

9:08

Paris and glide. I've I've glided

9:10

over to Africa and seen what it looked like. It's

9:13

a slow ride down. When the passchute

9:15

finally opened and my back didn't

9:17

heeled too and the cuts that I had

9:20

on me, I remember now I know how to

9:22

stay away from the edge. But the parish

9:24

chute then opened, and I'm enjoying

9:26

my life for the first time. I'm gliding,

9:29

but I got hit up against the rock. I can

9:32

see more. I get a chance to see

9:34

more things. I get to glide and see

9:36

more parts of the world. I'm living

9:38

my dream. Your passhute is gone

9:40

open, but I'll tell you one thing for shore,

9:43

It'll never open if you don't step off that

9:45

cliff. You got to step off that cliff,

9:47

got to get the passhute open for you. But

9:50

you got the jump, baby. That's the hard

9:52

part, ain't it. Now? Question is the end of this

9:54

story right here today when you jumping you're

9:57

listening show,

10:01

ladies and gentlemen, this is it. The Steve Harvey

10:04

Morny Show has begun, inviting

10:06

you to join in and have yourself a

10:08

good time today. Now let

10:10

me remind you get them tunes together

10:13

and you have a better day. I've already

10:15

done it. I thank the Lord this morning. I

10:17

told you I started with gratitude. I

10:20

told him how much I appreciate it. I

10:22

said thank you yesterday, even though I was

10:24

facing a major problem.

10:27

I thank them when I was in the middle of it,

10:29

in the middle of a problem. The problem

10:32

still exists, but it's all right though.

10:34

This TuS your pass. So if you start your

10:37

day with gratitude, it immediately affects

10:39

your attitude. And once it affects your

10:41

altitude, is in direct correlation with

10:43

your altitude. If you get them three

10:46

tunes together, skies a limit, everybody,

10:48

welcome to the ride. This to Steve Harvey Morning

10:50

Show, Shirley Strawberry calling for real

10:53

mouth of the South, Junior and the

10:55

legend that is Nephew Tommy Junior.

10:57

Huard today this

11:00

man, because it's kind of shocking

11:02

to me that you have a problem

11:04

with just regular, every day, every

11:06

day thing like self checkout bother you? You

11:09

don't have you gotta Why does that bother you? Well,

11:12

because it's just shocking that we do these

11:14

things all the time and you didn't even know they existed.

11:17

Well, but not

11:19

Junior, why is that shocking to you? Why

11:22

is that bothering you? Though? That's the part I'm stuck

11:24

at because I just can't. I would

11:27

you like to do regular stuff? Would you want to do regular

11:29

stuff? Well? Ask you a

11:31

question. Is you tired of doing reckless stuff?

11:34

Yes? I got your world? Yes,

11:36

I gotta do it to survive. I can't.

11:39

I can't not go to the stuff I've already

11:41

survived. We move on, please,

11:45

man, man, look killed this

11:48

what you man? I stopped a long

11:51

time ago pologizing for my life.

11:54

Person don't like my life? Man, I'm

11:57

sorry. I'm not gonna keep pol jobson

12:00

for my blessing. Now. I ain't rubbing

12:02

it in nobody's face. But when I asked you

12:04

a simple question, all I'm asking for ds,

12:06

I answer why I gotta get kicked drug? All

12:09

behind the truck because I wanted to know.

12:11

Yesterday I was at family few, working

12:14

and somebody's gave an answer self

12:16

checkout. And I asked you what he means by

12:18

that? And he said, you can check out yourself?

12:21

And I said well, and

12:24

he said everywhere I

12:27

will. What you mean check out yourself?

12:29

Yeah? So then he explained to

12:32

me that they got to check out line where

12:34

you can take your food up there boop,

12:37

scared at yourself, pay for it and

12:39

put it in the bag yourself, and then lead.

12:42

Yeah, my very questions,

12:45

well my very next

12:47

question from you ain't stole nothing,

12:52

not that simple, not as

12:54

it happens. But why is that your

12:56

first question? Time

12:59

I had to do that. I

13:02

cannot imagine not putting this stuff in my bad

13:04

and going to my cup Cleveland

13:07

in the building. So now they're watching

13:10

the whole audience a

13:12

family few turned on meet

13:15

for not knowing it was a self checkout? Did

13:17

a lady cup time they got of that Walmart

13:20

and targeing yes, everywhere

13:22

else, all grocery stores everywhere,

13:25

sea yea, yeah,

13:29

I got you. I just don't know it's no regular

13:31

stuff. But I've been blessed, so I'm not apologizing

13:34

for my life no more. That's all right, after

13:39

the hour, it's happier

13:42

back right after this. You're listening

13:45

morning show. All right, it is time

13:48

now to run that prank back with the nephew.

13:50

What you got for us? Now, this right

13:52

here is my mama's tree.

13:55

Everybody got that favorite tree at mama house.

13:58

I had a favorite tree at mama house. This

14:00

right here is my mama's tree. Cant

14:02

dog if you would Hello,

14:05

Hello, man, I speak to lord. Yeah,

14:07

this lord, this terror who

14:10

just tearry. I'm about ten minutes from the yard, big dog.

14:13

This ain't no teary. Look man, it's

14:15

this lord that worked for Yes.

14:17

Sir, listen, you just came down

14:19

Clayton Street and hit me and tow all the

14:22

limbs off my mama maple tree that's hanging

14:24

over the street. And now she got limbs hanging

14:26

all in the street. We got to cut this whole tree down

14:28

because you didn't messed it up. And you're the one that

14:30

just drove through here. He sir, I ain't been

14:33

down Clayton Street today, Sir, say what. I

14:35

ain't been down Clayton Street today. I ain't even been

14:37

in a residential neighborhood today. You just came

14:40

down Clayton Street a couple of hours ago and

14:42

then tow all the limbs off my mama tree.

14:45

My mama, that tree been and I founded twenty five

14:47

years and then you just came down the street

14:49

and just tow it all apart. Sir, I

14:51

ain't been down Clayton Road to day. How did you get this number?

14:53

By the way, don't worry about how I got your

14:56

number. Somebody got to pay for my mama

14:58

tree. So I ain't been down Clayton Road today.

15:00

I'm sorry call it call him back

15:02

down. Hello, lord,

15:05

did you just hang up on me? Yes, sir,

15:07

I told you I didn't been down on the Clayton Road

15:09

today. Now now what look I told

15:12

you. You just came down Clayton Road and just

15:14

and just told my mama tree up a live

15:16

down on residential neighborhood today.

15:18

Man, quit calling my phone to look

15:21

my grandmama planet that tree. Now

15:23

you don't gonna do that. Planet it. Move to

15:25

my ben cut the branches off the smer

15:28

if them branches. It's clear enough you're not

15:30

supposed to be driving them. A team wheel trucks down

15:32

this residential area like this here, Man,

15:34

I was making delivery. Guy. Now,

15:37

if I had to come down that tree, I would have.

15:39

But I told you once I ain't came down on Clayton

15:41

Street to day. You just said you had to make

15:43

a delivery. Now you're saying you ain't been down Clayton

15:46

Street. Hadn't delivered down

15:48

there, I would have came down that street. You

15:50

can't have to come down there. You've been on Clayton

15:52

Street today. Now that part I do know.

15:55

And what you got the wrong? Robert

15:57

dude, No, no, no, no, no no no. I got

15:59

to write and what I do know? Ill you

16:01

didn't tell my mama tree up. We got to cut

16:03

this old tree out. And you know what you're

16:05

gonna pay for this. Then I ain't staying for a

16:08

muddle tree, that tree and kidding.

16:10

I know you ain't talking about my mama tree.

16:12

Well, guess what, take your

16:15

tree and take your mama and

16:17

both of y'all go out there and planning another tree.

16:19

Then we ain't playing no more tree. That

16:21

tree been in our family for you. You're gonna mess

16:24

around and get your swept behind this tree.

16:26

Bring it on, then bring your gone

16:28

and bring the tree with you. You're gonna make me whoop

16:31

with a bridge off that tree. Well,

16:33

I tell you what. If you're that bad,

16:36

then I tell you what. If I was on playing

16:38

the street today, I meet don't play

16:40

the street with the tree. You come

16:42

on over here to Clayton right now, because I'm right

16:45

out here in the street on the card of this phone.

16:47

You come on outside. My mama's sitting

16:49

up in there crying behind this tree because you didn't tow

16:51

the limbs off, and we got to cut it down

16:53

now because you didn't mess it up. Don't get us napkin

16:56

this yellow wife minds. Then, I

16:58

ain't been down the tree. I know you

17:01

ain't sitting here talking about my mama. Nah see

17:03

you tripping not dog and tripping

17:05

dog. You are ready. Look, man,

17:07

I grew up with this tree in my front

17:10

yard. I grew up with this tree. Now

17:12

you got the nerve to drive to hell and driving

17:14

too fast because if you're the droll slow you

17:16

wouldn't have been hitting all them lives like that. Y'all

17:18

be running down here too fast to hill

17:21

man. Look, yeah, I've told you once man, I ain't

17:23

been down on Clayton Street, not

17:25

like I told you. If you want to meet me on Clayton

17:28

Streek, we'll all right. Now.

17:30

I'm sorry about your mom trip. What hell.

17:32

There ain't nothing I can do about it because I ain't been down on

17:34

Clayton Street. It's one thing you can do about

17:36

it. You can pay for it, and that's what you're gonna

17:38

do. Now. You're gonna either give me some money. I'm

17:41

gonna get it at you, but you're you're

17:43

gonna you're coming over here. Matter of fact, you're

17:45

gonna come over him. Now that big

17:48

truck around and bring your butt on

17:50

over here right now. Well, I mighty well,

17:52

don't turn it around, because I ain't paying for no tree

17:55

right now. That's fine, that's fine, But I tell

17:58

you, when you get here, my cousin hell

18:00

and all my uncles is here sitting up there looking

18:02

at out what you hadn't done in this tree. So bring

18:04

yo. I don't look a here, take

18:07

that tree and stuff it up

18:09

you yo yo, all right, I ain't

18:11

in a word with you, and just treat no more because

18:13

I don't told you one. Let me ain't this tree?

18:16

You come on right now because you don't know what this

18:18

tree means to me. This tree right here

18:20

used to be home base for a hide

18:22

and gold seat. Are you crying? You

18:25

20:08

is Nephew tell me from the Steve

20:11

Harvey Morning Show. You just got

20:13

pranked by your boy. You

20:17

got to be kidding me. Man, ain't

20:21

no, ain't no

20:23

tree messed up and you ain't been on Clayton

20:26

Street. Joe,

20:30

Joe, oh

20:33

Man, your dog? Hey

20:36

man, what is the baddest

20:38

radio show in the land? Steve

20:41

20:54

20:56

Show coming up at the top of the hour

20:59

and entertain aim at News. We're gonna

21:01

tell you how to register to win fifteen

21:03

hundred dollars. That's right, I said fifteen

21:05

hundred dollars. Kevin Hart plans

21:07

to open Harthouse Restaurants and sell

21:10

plant based fast food and

21:12

Janet Jackson Our icon is

21:15

on the June July cover of Essence

21:17

Magazine. We'll get into all of that at

21:19

the top, but right now it is time to

21:22

ask the clo all

21:24

right, This one's from Tab and Munroe. Tab

21:26

writes, my sister has been married

21:29

for four years and her husband has

21:31

a side chick that everyone knows about

21:33

except for my sister. I

21:35

was cheated on for four years by my husband

21:38

and I finally left. I wouldn't

21:40

wish divorce on anyone, so I

21:42

refuse to tell her what he's doing.

21:45

Am I wrong for not telling my sister what's

21:47

going on? Well, I'm

21:49

the wrong person to ask of that. I think

21:51

you should ask Shirley and Carla.

21:54

Shirley and Carla your women. You've

21:57

been married, You've had let's

22:00

say, someone you've been married to cheated

22:02

on you. Your sisters involved in relationship

22:05

with the man, and everybody know the man it is cheating.

22:07

Would you tell your sister, well,

22:10

you know what that happened, cheating

22:12

in my first marriage. Um, oh,

22:16

this is hard. You love your sister. I

22:19

think in this case, yes, I would tell my

22:21

sister. I would tell her or take

22:23

her where she could see it and get the

22:25

situation for her. Yes, I am telling

22:27

my sister that her husband

22:29

is cheating her her my sister as

22:33

my sister. Yeah, okay,

22:36

then that's where we have to go. Where we had to go with

22:38

the ladies. I would normally

22:41

say, stay out of this. It's ain't your pizziness, your

22:43

sister, it ain't nothing.

22:46

Because if you dog and my brother,

22:48

I'm gonna go tell my brother because

22:50

we just have a different relationship where we were not

22:52

fin to stop being brothers because I told him

22:55

something. I can promise you

22:57

that, And she's right. Divorces

22:59

hard. She is right about that, all right, Selena

23:02

and Biloxi says, I'm dating a man

23:04

that is very controlling, but

23:07

um in a good way. He's

23:09

mostly jealous and anytime a man comments

23:11

on a picture I post, he asked who is

23:13

it and who it is?

23:16

And he'll even research the guy on

23:18

I G I think that is jealousy

23:20

is cute, But could it mean he's crazy?

23:23

Well it's cute. It's cute now,

23:27

Well it's cute. Now where

23:29

you think it's going? You

23:31

know this all this is

23:33

his trouble you You're heading

23:36

down the path right here. So so let's

23:38

say y'all getting married. Suppose

23:40

he takes this control and stuff to the level

23:42

of you, my wife. Now, you

23:44

don't do this. You don't do that. Get off social

23:47

media. You can't posting on all this here. It's

23:51

cute in a good way. Well okay,

23:53

okay, not controlling.

23:56

Controlling is not cute in any way.

24:00

You see those red flags. M lady

24:04

told me on my show, ladies stopped collecting

24:06

red flags. Yeah, yeah,

24:10

leave them in the ground. Stop

24:12

collecting red flags. Yeah,

24:14

I got truck full of red flags.

24:17

Okay, yeah, we as

24:19

women ignore them all the time, we

24:21

do, all right. Sharon Phillipy

24:23

writes, I've been married for eleven

24:26

years and my husband went into my purse to

24:28

get a phone charger and he saw

24:30

that I had receipts with a paper clip on them.

24:32

I bought some things that I didn't tell him about

24:34

it, and he accused me of being sneaky. I

24:37

never try to hide the stuff I buy, and I

24:39

use my money. So why is he tripping

24:42

all the packages? You

24:45

you know you buying stuff.

24:47

You don't need him nobout. Most

24:51

women do it. You don't

24:53

have to hide it if they go bas

24:55

stuff anyway, it's all right. He

24:59

has got to understand

25:02

this is a part of it. Now.

25:06

Sir, let me give you some advice. Stop

25:09

going in her perse finding stuff

25:12

because you don't want her going in your

25:15

stuff finding stuff because

25:18

wants a woman go here's what you don't

25:20

want a woman to say, Oh, we find this stuff

25:22

now, or

25:24

that's what we're doing, or we find

25:27

look and so now, no,

25:33

dog, just stay out of that accusing

25:35

her being sneaking. You have some receipts and

25:37

you use your money. Yeah, that's

25:41

all right. And bro, Bro, you can

25:43

relax. This was happening, this will

25:45

be happening the rest of your marriage. Relax.

25:49

Don't let this be the thing to tip the boat

25:51

over. Bro, I don't know any

25:53

woman who is not who does not sneak

25:55

a bag in the house on her husband every

25:58

now and then. I just don't know one, do

26:00

you, because she don't want to hear it? Right?

26:03

Yes, yes I bought

26:06

it. What you buy? Now? How

26:08

many asks? You got? Now? You

26:10

need shoes? Well,

26:14

this is what I learned from Marjorie. A woman

26:16

would rather ask for forgiveness

26:19

than for permission accurately

26:22

fast, I'm

26:24

sorry I spent

26:26

too much. Forgive me all

26:28

right, Yes, that's if Marjorie

26:30

Harvey. But I'm grown

26:33

and I gotta go ask shoes

26:36

my wife. They never took nothing back, nothing,

26:38

nothing, apologize.

26:40

Everybody stayed. Were

26:43

doing that New York. I

26:45

know lady in New York. It works for US affiliate.

26:48

All her stuff is in her cuber Who

26:53

Hi Tim huh snitches.

26:59

You are glad

27:01

he don't say any names because

27:05

we all know who it is. Oh,

27:11

I get you last

27:14

one Steve Jacqueline and Las Vegas

27:16

says I'm in a bit of a pickle. My

27:18

aunt heard me saying that her children are moochers,

27:21

and she went off on me and my mother.

27:24

It's one thing to curse it me, but my

27:26

mama didn't do anything. Would I be

27:28

wrong to curse my aunt out just once?

27:32

No? I don't. I don't. I don't

27:34

see nothing wrong with it. Yeah,

27:39

you know you can't

27:41

say a damn thing and my mama without getting

27:44

with both barrels. I'd

27:46

say, you know, I don't think

27:49

you need to cuss your aunt out, but I just think

27:51

you need to go and check and say, hey, look, this

27:53

is what I said. My mama didn't have nothing

27:55

to do with it. Don't say nothing not my mama.

27:58

Now if it's her sister, the

28:01

mama's If it's your mama's sister,

28:03

the mom's sister, then you can't

28:06

them. Sister has been probably doing this for years.

28:09

But if it's your daddy's sister, yeah,

28:18

healthy, you can't come over here with that sister.

28:26

That's that's how you know. The aunt girl, you

28:28

can't be. You gotta be on this side of the aunt

28:30

family. You can't be the man inside, right

28:33

right. But then the aunt

28:35

was mad because she says something about her kids.

28:38

Well, you know right true.

28:42

What she said about the kids was probably true

28:44

most of them. You

28:47

just can't see it. So

28:52

you get these other ass kids

28:56

women. All right, thank

28:58

you for a little trust, say ugly thank

29:05

you. We gotta move on. Coming up

29:07

at the top of the hour, we'll have some entertainment

29:10

news for you. Right after this. You're

29:12

listening to the Steve Harvey Morning

29:14

Show. Coming

29:17

up in about twenty minutes. Our special guest

29:19

29:24

yeah, you don't want to miss that. But

29:51

29:54

everybody, all right. Our friend Kevin

29:57

Hart will soon have a plant based

29:59

fast food restaurant open in

30:01

the Los Angeles area. If

30:04

you like plant based food fast food,

30:10

yeah, vegan vegans, flat

30:13

based taste like chicken,

30:15

but it ain't now,

30:17

it's plants. Kevin

30:20

reportedly has been working on this idea

30:22

for quite some time, like before the

30:24

pandemic, and he'll finally bring

30:26

his vision to life with the opening of Hearthouse.

30:30

Hearthouse, the entire menu

30:32

will consist of only plant based

30:34

burgers, nuggets, fries, chicken,

30:37

sandwiches, milkshakes, salads,

30:39

and more. All food offerings

30:42

will be free of hormones, artificial colors,

30:44

preservatives, and high fruittoast

30:47

corn syrup made within minutes.

30:49

Shooting down the notion that plant based

30:52

meals are more stenuous and costly

30:54

to produce, Kevin posted

30:56

on Instagram Hearthouse is going

30:58

to serve delicious, standable food

31:01

that delivers, can't believe it, flavor in

31:03

every bite. So there you go. Hearthouse

31:06

coming soon to La. There's

31:08

a restaurant in LA called Crossroads

31:13

and it's all plant based. It's

31:16

absolutely amazing. Jane.

31:18

It is amazing when

31:20

you get the chicken steak and all of that. I'm

31:23

you're sitting there going, wait a minute, a

31:26

fried chicken. Really? Oh it's it's

31:29

it's amazing. So this is cold

31:31

for Kevin to have this fast food,

31:33

huh, plant basis. I think

31:36

calling it a hearthouse is smart too, because

31:38

plants are definitely better for your heart. And

31:42

it's heart spelled like his last name, of course.

31:45

And this is going to be fast food. I love that, you

31:47

know, you want to get something healthy, you

31:50

know, running out for lunch or whatever, and

31:52

that's great. All right. Uh moving

31:55

on to other trending news, we got to say congratulations

31:58

to Janet Jackson. Janet landed

32:00

the cover of Essence magazines June July

32:03

issue. This is the head of her highly anticipated

32:05

performance as one of the headliners of

32:08

this year's Essence Music festum

32:11

Essence described Janet as a risk

32:13

taking innovator who revolutionized

32:15

black cultural expression and broke barriers

32:18

for women in music. She's a global icon

32:20

and rock and Roll Hall of Famer with incomparable

32:23

impact. Again, congratulations

32:26

to Janet Jackson. This year's Essence

32:28

Music Best runs June thirtieth through

32:31

July third. It's going to be of course in

32:33

New Orleans, Louisiana. Yeah,

32:37

come on, that's Jackson. Have

32:39

you seen the coverage. She looks amazing,

32:42

Jane Jackson on the Oh she's on

32:44

the cover now. Yeah, yeah, she looks beautiful.

32:47

She looks beautiful, blue jean

32:49

with the jacket and the different

32:51

time yeah, yeah, and the hair and she

32:54

just looks great. I love it. And

32:56

Carla, another icon,

33:00

has some new music out. You want to tell us

33:02

about Beyonce. What is going on with our

33:04

girl? Well, I mean we talked about it yesterday

33:07

on the show. You know, just she broke

33:09

the Internet, released a new single. Her new

33:11

album is coming out in July, so

33:14

you know everybody is feeling be You

33:17

know, it's that Robines,

33:20

that sample. You know it, talked about it yesterday, showed

33:22

me love and I'm

33:25

excited. You know, I'm a huge, huge

33:28

Beyonce fan, so I can't wait for her

33:30

album. You know, I liked it before I

33:32

heard it. Today she's

33:41

got a new album. I love it. Yeah,

33:44

is about yet No, I love it.

33:47

So Dan has Break my Soul Beyonce Pride

33:50

month. Steve said he liked the lyrics

33:52

yesterday, you know, strong lyrics for females

33:55

as well. She's also it seems

33:57

like she's encouraging you to quit your job. Yeah,

34:02

break my soul. Yeah, we

34:05

ain't doing all that be but now

34:08

you can do that, not us, right, yeah,

34:11

but yeah,

34:14

right, yeah, yeah, yeah. The song

34:16

might be breaking my soul. But if you quit your

34:18

job right now, I'm

34:20

telling you right now, you're gonna end

34:23

up breaking I'm quitting my job,

34:25

broke my soul, broke my lease, right,

34:30

broke your credit. You're gonna

34:32

break your

34:34

girl broke up with you. You're right,

34:37

right right, be smart about this. Oh and

34:39

I also shout out to Big frieda from the

34:41

Walls that bounced baby. She's on the track

34:44

to break my soul. So there you go. I

34:46

mean, yeah, it's it's a song that we didn't

34:48

know we were missing until we got it. Yeah. Yeah,

34:52

And finally, the World Health Organization

34:55

has announced it will rename the monkey

34:57

Pox virus over concerns from scientists

34:59

that the name is discriminatory and stigmatizing.

35:02

This comes after a scientist at Nigeria's

35:04

Redeemer University stated that he

35:07

sees the name of the virus as racist

35:09

and stayed at the mainstream media. Instead

35:12

of showing pictures of people that are presented

35:14

presenting with the legions which are

35:16

white people they're keeping.

35:19

They keep putting forward pictures of children

35:22

in Africa and Africans and

35:24

there's no connection. Since mid May, there

35:27

have been seventy two confirmed and suspected

35:29

monkeypox cases across seventeen

35:32

states and in DC. Wow.

35:35

So he thinks the name monkey pox,

35:38

and I guess because it comes from Africa is

35:40

racist and it could be perceived

35:43

that way. Yeah, yeah,

35:48

all right, let's see that. Yes, yep, as

35:50

promised, coming up at twenty minutes after the

35:52

hour, our family member and the legendary

35:54

comedian Earthquake will join

35:56

us right after this. You're listening.

36:02

We got him just as promised, fresh off

36:04

of a Netflix comedy special handed

36:07

towards a huge comedy too, and

36:09

a new Netflix movie That's

36:12

a bad Man. Right now, he

36:14

got a lot going on this summer and beyond

36:17

so he's joining us to fill us in on everything.

36:19

He's a family member. And I

36:21

tell you, man, I could not be more

36:24

proud of this dude. I just couldn't. Man,

36:26

This dude right here has hung

36:28

in there. Man, I'm talking about man passed

36:31

over, looked, over, played

36:34

shot it and just kept on being

36:36

a great stand up that he was. And no

36:38

cream rise to the top. That's

36:41

just all to a Ladies and gentleman, please welcome

36:43

back to the show. The legend that he

36:45

is, Ladies and gentlemen,

36:47

an ultimate in natural disasters.

36:51

It comes without warning. There

36:54

is no siren for it, or it ain't a

36:56

tornado. You can't see it building

36:59

up in the sky. It come from under.

37:01

You run all up to you knock

37:03

your househover. Ladies and gentlemen,

37:06

that damn earthquake. How

37:14

y'all doing? How y'all doing? They

37:16

see they finbably getting to the eave. They

37:19

finbably called me

37:25

over. But I'm here now. I

37:28

ain't never seen nothing like it. Man.

37:31

You went from obscurity

37:34

to just every damn where

37:37

Netflix special, big tur

37:40

Netflix movie. Every

37:42

time I turned something more, it's that

37:45

damn earthquake. The legend

37:47

is born. Hey, man, let me ask you a question, man,

37:49

did you see it coming? When I knew the opportunity

37:52

was when Dave Savor's gonna give

37:54

me, I knew, you know you taught me. Well,

37:57

man, I'm being honest with you. You you

37:59

how the siege because in this game, I

38:02

always say, only things separate me

38:04

or any comedian from

38:06

being where they wanted to be as an opportunity

38:09

and cashing in on that opportunity.

38:12

And uh, I knew this was a huge

38:14

opportunity, but I never imagine

38:16

what they to do now because I'm going to the White

38:18

Club and they bought the red seat.

38:21

As if my Moses, you take

38:23

me everywhere then,

38:26

you know, like I got white

38:28

women grabbing on me stevers, My

38:31

women are on me like I got a facelift.

53:36

53:39

you never know. Buckle up and hold on tight.

53:41

We got it for you here. It is strawberry

53:43

letter. Subject my man

53:46

moves mysteriously. Dear Stephen

53:48

Shirley. I'm a forty two year old woman and I've

53:50

been in a relationship with a forty five year old

53:53

man for three years. For the past

53:55

two years, he's been living with me because

53:58

he needed some house repairs done

54:00

around Christmas time last year. I

54:03

caught him at his own house one Saturday

54:05

when he was supposed to be visiting his parents

54:08

in South Carolina. I pulled

54:10

up in his driveway and he met me at

54:12

the door, and he told me that it was

54:14

a dusty mess inside, like a

54:16

construction site, and I didn't

54:18

need to come in. He also didn't

54:20

hug or kiss me, and said he

54:23

was too dirty from working all day. I

54:25

never questioned him about not telling

54:27

me he was still in town because I never

54:29

want to be a nagger like his ex

54:31

wife. He did not come home that night.

54:34

The next morning, he came home and

54:36

he had shaved and he had on dress

54:38

pants. He said he went to church because

54:41

his co worker got baptized. This

54:43

man threw me into a lot, into

54:45

a lot within twenty four hours, and I still

54:48

didn't nag or ask him any questions.

54:50

For the next few months, he would leave

54:52

the house and wouldn't say where he was going.

54:55

I would ride by his house, but the garage

54:57

was always down, so if

55:00

he was in there, I couldn't tell. Last

55:02

month, he said he was finished with his house

55:05

and he was selling it. He said he felt

55:07

like he was wearing out his welcome with me,

55:09

and he might go stay with his parents until

55:11

he finds a new house. I told him

55:13

I wanted to see how he renovated

55:16

his house, and he said that there's a tenant running

55:19

it now. I had. I had

55:21

a look of confusion, and he went off

55:23

on me for not believing him. So much

55:25

is going on with him, and I don't know if I should

55:28

believe him. He still says he loves

55:30

me and we still have sex, So why

55:33

is he keeping me in the dark? What's he up to?

55:36

Well, there's

55:38

nothing too mysterious about him, There

55:41

really isn't. It's just a lot of lies.

55:44

He's up to something something, for sure,

55:47

and everything that comes out of his mouth is a lie.

55:49

I mean, I'll admit that house repairs

55:51

can take a very long time, but he's

55:53

been living with you for the last two years,

55:57

so please don't believe anything he says.

55:59

He could have had a whole house built in two

56:01

years or less. Okay, anyway,

56:04

all the clues are there. First, not telling

56:06

you he was still in town when he was,

56:09

then preventing you from going in the house when

56:11

you were in the driveway, not hugging,

56:13

not kissing you when he saw you, because I'm sure

56:15

that's what he normally does. Who

56:18

do you think is in that house that

56:21

he's supposedly selling right now? Is

56:23

it a wife in there? Is it his kids? Think?

56:25

Think think you're worried about not being

56:27

a nag, but you're worried about the

56:29

wrong things. You still have to ask questions.

56:32

You obviously can't take his word for

56:34

anything, and you're feeling it. You know

56:36

something isn't quite right. You definitely

56:39

need receipts when he tells you things. Okay,

56:42

Now he's moving out because he thinks

56:44

he's worn out. He's welcome with you. No,

56:47

you didn't tell him that he thinks that you

56:49

may be onto him, and he knows

56:51

he's wrong. That's why he's leaving.

56:54

I know you think he loves you and you're confused,

56:57

but please, love has nothing to

56:59

do with this relationship. Nothing. Uh,

57:02

there's really no mystery at all about him.

57:05

Like I said earlier, I think you should break

57:07

up with this loser and and please stop

57:09

having sex with him until he comes clean. And

57:11

that's not gonna happen. Steve, Wow,

57:16

where where are these women who write these

57:18

letters? I didn't know that

57:21

you could be this gullible. I

57:24

just really didn't. Man, it doesn't it almost

57:26

doesn't make any sense. You know. I'm

57:28

starting to think that women, women

57:33

would rather be in a relationship

57:36

of some kind than

57:39

to be in a real relationship

57:43

of some kind. Think you're right.

57:45

I think it's you keep holding on to

57:47

these relationships that aren't rewarding

57:50

and are not fulfilling to you, just

57:52

so you could say you in one. Because

57:54

this don't make no damn sense. You

57:57

forty two, forty five, you've been in a relationship

57:59

with three years. Past two years

58:01

we've been he's been living with you because he needed

58:04

some house repairs done two

58:06

years. Okay,

58:11

around Christmas time last year, I caught

58:13

him at his own house one Saturday

58:16

when he was supposed to be visiting his parents

58:18

in South Carolina. I pulled

58:20

up in his driveway. He met me at the door and told

58:22

me it was dusty mess inside of the construction

58:25

site. I didn't need to come in. He also

58:27

didn't hug or kiss me. He said he was

58:29

too dirty from working all day. And

58:33

that's all he had to tell you. Go

58:37

up to the house. It's too damn dirty

58:39

here and now, but it's too damn dirty for you. He

58:43

don't hug or kiss you because

58:45

he too dirty. That's all he had to tell you,

58:47

and you went for that. Okay. I

58:51

never questioned him about telling me oh

58:53

he was still in town, because I never want

58:55

to be a nagger like his ex wife. Okay,

58:59

So now you're

59:01

being you're getting

59:03

played. You're actually

59:06

creating the perfect scenario

59:09

and excuse that he needs

59:11

to do whatever he needs

59:13

to do, and that's

59:16

all you're doing. So now

59:19

you've created the atmosphere for

59:22

him to thrive in and

59:24

tell you anything he wants to tell

59:27

you, and you're just going along with it. I

59:29

don't want to be a nagger like his ex wife.

59:32

Well why was she nagging? Hell,

59:37

you gotta understand something. Now, most

59:39

women don't nag for no reason. They've

59:42

been given a reason. That how some women

59:44

who do. But most women that nag

59:46

you about something is because you gave him a reason too.

59:49

And I think he gave the X a reason. Yeah,

59:53

hold that. Well that part two of Steve's

59:56

response coming up at twenty three

59:58

minutes after the hour. Today's very

1:00:00

letter subject is my man moves

1:00:02

mysteriously. We'll get right back into

1:00:04

it right after this. You're listening

1:00:07

to show, all

1:00:09

right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry

1:00:12

letter. My man moves mysteriously.

1:00:16

This lady right here is so gullible

1:00:19

in this letter. Like I said, it

1:00:21

just makes me think that women would rather have some

1:00:24

relationship than a real relationship,

1:00:27

and your real relationship meaning that you're

1:00:29

rewarded, you're fulfilled, you're

1:00:32

complete, So you deal with all

1:00:34

these inconsistencies. And it

1:00:36

don't make no sense. You've been dating

1:00:39

this man three years. Two years ago he moved in

1:00:41

your house because he was doing some house repairs. For

1:00:43

two years, you went over his house once

1:00:45

said when he said he was going to see his

1:00:47

mommy in South Carolina. You go over

1:00:49

his house and he supposed to be empty. He's

1:00:52

standing in there working. He meets you

1:00:54

at the dot don't let you in because he's saying

1:00:56

it's a construction, citing his messing, his dirty

1:00:58

He don't hug and kiss you at the dope. And

1:01:01

he said the reason he kiss you because

1:01:03

he'd been working in there all day. You're

1:01:06

stupid, so you let him tell you that.

1:01:08

Then you said, I never questioned him about

1:01:11

telling me he was still in town because

1:01:13

I never want to be a nagger like his ex wife.

1:01:16

His ex wife was nagging for something. Yes,

1:01:19

she nagging. And now you're starting

1:01:21

to see why I'm telling you right now.

1:01:23

Most women don't nag for no reason.

1:01:26

Some of them do, but the majority of women, you

1:01:28

give them a reason to turn into this nagging.

1:01:32

Okay, ready for this. He

1:01:34

did not come home that night. He

1:01:40

didn't come home. He told

1:01:42

you he was at his mama's house in South Carolina.

1:01:45

You go over to his house and he at that house,

1:01:47

he don't let you in. You drive off

1:01:50

here. The best one I've ever heard in

1:01:52

my life. He did not come

1:01:55

home that night. The next morning,

1:01:57

he came home and said he

1:02:00

was shaved and he had on dress pass. He

1:02:02

said he went to church because his co worker

1:02:05

got baptized, or the best one I've

1:02:07

ever heard. That's a good one.

1:02:10

That but

1:02:13

boy, you're proud. I

1:02:16

got my chest out on this. Yeah,

1:02:19

I'm shaved and got on dress pass

1:02:21

because I went to church because

1:02:24

my co worker got baptized.

1:02:28

Here's something you can't find out if it's

1:02:30

true or not. I don't give a damn what type of research

1:02:32

you do? What church?

1:02:35

What coworker? What

1:02:38

job was? He referred to? You

1:02:41

ain't gonna be able researchers. Best live I've

1:02:43

ever heard? Co worker got baptized.

1:02:46

Then she said, this man threw me into a lot

1:02:48

the last twenty four hours. That lie right there,

1:02:51

my co worker got baptime. That's the

1:02:53

best live I've ever heard. It's so rare

1:02:55

it has to be a lie. It

1:02:59

ain't. Fred I'm gonna have

1:03:01

to write a book called Creative Lies

1:03:03

and just and

1:03:07

so this man threw me into a lot the

1:03:09

last twenty four hours. I still don't nag or

1:03:11

ask him any questions. Lady,

1:03:14

Okay, so now you're just gullible. You're

1:03:16

just going along with if you don't question your

1:03:18

relationship on him, you're just going

1:03:20

along with whatever he's saying for

1:03:23

next few months. He would lead a house and wouldn't

1:03:25

say where he was going. Who

1:03:27

can do that? Who in a relationship

1:03:30

has to freedom to come and go and

1:03:32

never say where you're going or when

1:03:35

you're coming back. Now, I would

1:03:37

ride by his house, but

1:03:39

the garage was always down, so if

1:03:41

he was there, I couldn't tell. Last

1:03:44

one if he said he was finished with his house and

1:03:46

he said it all

1:03:49

right? Now here we go. He

1:03:52

said he felt like he was wearing out is welcome

1:03:54

with me? And he might go stay with his parents

1:03:56

until he finds a new house. What

1:04:02

wait a minute, you leaving me? You're gonna go live

1:04:04

with your mama, nim because you weren't out your welcome

1:04:07

and you're gonna go stay with your parents to you find

1:04:09

a new house. I told him I

1:04:12

wanted to see how it renovated his house. Betty

1:04:14

for this, he said, there as a

1:04:16

tenant written it right now another

1:04:20

good life. Got to be proud this

1:04:22

boy right here. I love this boy right here. So

1:04:25

I can't let you in it because it tenant renten

1:04:28

it right now. I

1:04:30

had a look of confusion, and

1:04:33

he went off on me for not believing

1:04:35

him. Remember

1:04:38

this, anything, best defense is

1:04:40

a good offense. Yeah, so

1:04:43

when you look confused, Oh, I'm

1:04:45

lying up. Yeah,

1:04:49

dog, she living there and she's

1:04:52

been living there, and you're not

1:04:54

fend to go to your mama's house. You find

1:04:56

to go over there. So telling

1:04:58

you that there's a renter in the house so you

1:05:00

don't have to go by there looking for him no more.

1:05:02

And right out he told you he's gonna put it on the market

1:05:05

and sell it. If you're gonna put the market on

1:05:07

the sell it, why you gotta tendant in that right

1:05:09

now? Already so much is

1:05:11

going on with him. I don't know if I should believe

1:05:13

him. He still says he loves

1:05:16

me and we still have

1:05:18

sex. That's because you let him. Yeah,

1:05:21

so why is he keeping me in the dog?

1:05:24

What is he up to? So you want

1:05:26

to know why he's keeping you in the dog because

1:05:29

you don't seem to have

1:05:31

a problem being in the dark. This

1:05:34

is why he don't bring you into

1:05:36

the light, Because you don't have a

1:05:39

problem being in the dark.

1:05:41

You don't question him about nothing. You

1:05:43

don't ask him where he going. What it's word about

1:05:46

you like being in the dog. So now that you're

1:05:48

in the dog. But I'm gonna lighting it up for you. There's

1:05:50

a woman living in the house that he's seeing.

1:05:53

He gonna go live over there, and he ain't moving

1:05:55

in with his mama. Why would he moving in with a mama

1:05:57

when he can sleep with you all with her ladies?

1:05:59

Shut up? Bye? All

1:06:01

right, thanks Steve. Please leave your comments

1:06:03

1:06:06

Steve Harvey FM and check out the Strawberry

1:06:08

Letter podcast on demand. Coming

1:06:10

up next, it is Sports Talk with Junior

1:06:13

right after this. You're listening

1:06:15

to show. All

1:06:18

right, it is time now for Junior and Sports

1:06:20

Talk. What you got Junior? Okay, everybody

1:06:22

listen. We need to go to we AREBG dot

1:06:24

org for Britney grind and really signed this petition.

1:06:27

Man, this makes no sense what they've

1:06:29

done to her for her wife. You

1:06:31

know, their anniversary was Saturday, their

1:06:33

wedding anniversary. Her is Cheryl's anniversary.

1:06:36

They Britney was over there. She tried

1:06:38

to call the number to the US embassy

1:06:40

so they could patch her into Cheryl over in Arizona.

1:06:43

All right, she called eleven times,

1:06:46

nobody answered. The phone was reading

1:06:48

at the embassy. The crazy part about

1:06:50

they said that the embassy was understaff but

1:06:53

the phone just ranking. She had not spoken

1:06:55

to Brittany in full months, and it was on day

1:06:57

wedding anniversary. So we AREBG dot

1:06:59

or. Let's just get her from over there.

1:07:02

We are bg dot org. That

1:07:04

that state department still says that she is

1:07:06

a priority. He's still all trying to work to get it out.

1:07:09

So we are BG dot or. You're

1:07:11

talking about in Russia,

1:07:13

Yes, sir, the USMASC in Russia State Department

1:07:16

admitted that, no, we understaffed

1:07:18

in Russia, and there was nobody at the desk when

1:07:20

the phone rang. This time it was US

1:07:23

ain't we ain't

1:07:25

got this help over their team, Yeah,

1:07:28

yeah, all their way the anniversary the four year

1:07:30

read in the anniversary and she did not get to talk to her.

1:07:32

So they wanted to put it back out there. We are BG

1:07:35

dot org. They'll sign the petition so we

1:07:37

can get her back from over her home. Bring

1:07:39

it just bringing her home, that's you know,

1:07:42

that's it, all right. Your food the

1:07:44

food is back in there. Kyrie Irving is back

1:07:46

in the news again, and I just

1:07:48

loved Kyrie. Kyro was wrong. Kyrie

1:07:52

Carrie Irwin last season

1:07:55

was holding his own practices at

1:07:59

the Brooklyn Next facility. After

1:08:01

the team practice, Kyrie will grab five

1:08:04

more players and say because he could not play

1:08:06

because of the New York Band dates after

1:08:08

they practiced, Kyrie had his old practice.

1:08:11

Now that they find

1:08:13

this kind of disrespectful because Steve Nashon

1:08:15

already held practice and he said that's a problem

1:08:17

for the head coach. So he has until

1:08:20

June twenty ninth to figure out if he's gonna play

1:08:22

in Brooklyn and if he's gonna see

1:08:24

if he's gonna stay with the next with KD and he's

1:08:27

guaranteed thirty six million next season if

1:08:29

he does play. But he is warned in Miami

1:08:32

and he is warned in Los Angeles. Do you think

1:08:34

Lebron James and Kyrie could do this again?

1:08:36

Yeah, it could be a change where they

1:08:39

take Russell sending him to Brooklyn and then Kyrie

1:08:41

goes to Los Angeles, Steve,

1:08:45

which you feel better? Man,

1:08:51

Kyrie got to get his head on whever. He's

1:08:53

a magnificent townent. Yeah.

1:08:55

I love a brother, but man, but holding

1:08:58

your old practices though. If I was so,

1:09:00

I definitely want to go to Brooklyn to

1:09:02

play with kde though. Yeah, all

1:09:05

right, all right, junior, thank you. We got to get

1:09:07

out of here. Coming up at the top of the hour,

1:09:09

Tommy has something to get off his chest,

1:09:12

and we'll find out what that is right after this. You're

1:09:15

listening show,

1:09:20

all right, Tommy. So before we went to break, you

1:09:22

said you there was something you wanted to get off

1:09:24

your chest. What's going on? I gotta get some things

1:09:26

off my chest. This past weekend was

1:09:29

Father's Day weekend as well as Juneteenth

1:09:32

celebration. I went went to a cookout,

1:09:35

a hangout. I gotta get it off my chest.

1:09:37

This is it. I'm not going to

1:09:39

Animo cookhouts no more. That's

1:09:42

it. I'm done. What's why I got

1:09:44

invited to? I got invited to a cookout?

1:09:47

Brother invited by fifteen people. I

1:09:49

say, cool. Now, when you get invited to

1:09:51

a cookout, you call you know what you need? You need

1:09:53

me bring anything, you

1:09:55

know, bob saw, paper tie. These are

1:09:57

the kind of things you brain to a cook

1:10:00

all right. Then you might even bring a complimented

1:10:02

by the wine, you know, just to show you got a little

1:10:04

class. That's what you do. But for

1:10:07

you to tell me that you want

1:10:09

me to bring something and I say, cool, what

1:10:12

you need air filters

1:10:14

and three bags of mulch, that's

1:10:17

a little bit far. Fetch right there, dog,

1:10:21

This ain't got nothing to do with cooking. Then

1:10:24

I get there. I get that the dog

1:10:28

much. Now

1:10:30

you you basically got me running your

1:10:32

damn errands on stuff that you need. And

1:10:35

I get there, I get that. Derek there,

1:10:37

Derek, say what you Brian said. I said

1:10:39

he wanted some feel there's some up. Derek

1:10:41

says, man, I had to get

1:10:43

some toothpaste and then pick up his mama

1:10:45

prescription. Is

1:10:49

this you got us doing? Doct

1:10:53

What gotta cook out of this? Man? Then

1:10:56

Kendrick Kendrick pull up in his truck.

1:10:58

He rolled around to the outside of the patio.

1:11:01

When he come around, he got two cases

1:11:03

of diapers and some fabulosa. Then

1:11:06

what is we're doing, man, because

1:11:08

ain't no damn cook our dog. What

1:11:11

is this you're doing? Now?

1:11:14

What broke the camera back? Was this? This is

1:11:16

the last straw? Danny rolls up.

1:11:19

Danny roll up. I'm thinking, okay, I

1:11:21

ain't seen no barbecue sauce. I said, well, maybe

1:11:24

Danny Brahan, Danny roll up. Danny

1:11:27

got eight bags

1:11:29

a concrete in sixteen fence

1:11:32

posts. What is hey?

1:11:34

Man? What y'all? Hey? Now, what we're

1:11:36

doing? Man, what

1:11:39

we're doing? You've been

1:11:41

to put a fence up. We got a march,

1:11:44

We got your mamma prescription, we got

1:11:46

diapers. I'm done, man, I'm

1:11:49

done. I'm done. I'm done. I've

1:11:52

got my own house. All

1:11:56

the cookouts is that my house, man, I'm not cooking

1:11:58

it off with no no, no, no, no no. I

1:12:01

know what to happen at my house. Yeah, and

1:12:04

that's another thing that took about.

1:12:07

That took about three plus more hours

1:12:09

before we actually ate something. I'm

1:12:12

done, hey, man, But by the damn,

1:12:14

y'all put them fish posts and y'all was

1:12:17

hungry, though y'all

1:12:21

had to build a back yard. Come

1:12:25

on, man, but

1:12:27

everybody, everybody brought the stuff

1:12:29

that that he asked for it though everybody

1:12:32

but but but but but your mama prescription.

1:12:34

Though, Come on, man, appreciate

1:12:37

any trouble. That's it.

1:12:40

That's just little something I wanted to get off my chest. I just

1:12:42

need to get it off. I

1:12:45

love. I'm done. I'm done going to cook

1:12:47

out all cookouts at my house. I cook off

1:12:49

for myself. That's Do

1:12:52

you ask people to bring things at your house or

1:12:55

I don't care if they bring nothing. I make sure I got everything

1:12:57

I needn't, I don't need nothing. Bring

1:13:00

your out and play it. I got you that

1:13:02

right there, there's these these three bags of

1:13:05

multiple you got alt filters. We

1:13:11

didn't ran all his errors? Yes,

1:13:15

yes, at Lasi already

1:13:17

had the meat and stuff there for the cook

1:13:19

al let you call it him Tommy

1:13:21

with mulching your hand man, and

1:13:25

one side filled the twenty four by thirty

1:13:27

one by two? What kind of OK? You

1:13:30

have to go? Look forward it go to the garden.

1:13:34

What about you, Steve? Do you have people

1:13:36

bring stuff I know? Or do you just

1:13:41

you ain't bringing nothing over here. I don't want

1:13:43

your opinion of what good potato salad

1:13:45

is. I got it, I

1:13:49

got it. If

1:13:52

everybody does have something to say? All

1:13:55

right, thinking of you coming up in twenty

1:13:57

minutes after the hour, we'll have more of the Steve

1:13:59

Harper Morning Show. Right after this you're

1:14:02

listening to say morning

1:14:04

show. A

1:14:06

woman in Texas allegedly spit on

1:14:09

a corpse during a funeral viewing. On

1:14:11

June fifth, police arrested the woman.

1:14:13

She was fifty one years old. Yeah, you heard

1:14:15

me. This was in connection to the incident

1:14:18

that took place at a funeral viewing. The

1:14:20

white female reportedly went to her funeral

1:14:23

viewing in Tyler, Texas, and instead

1:14:25

of paying her respects to the deceased, she

1:14:27

spit on the body in the open

1:14:30

casket. No details were released

1:14:32

on what her issues may have been with

1:14:34

the deceased, but the family of the

1:14:37

dead person said the female

1:14:39

had animosity, animal

1:14:42

looking towards a dead person. She

1:14:45

got caught, though. She was charged with abuse of

1:14:47

a corpse, which is a felony in Texas. She

1:14:49

could face up to two years in jail and

1:14:52

be fined up to ten thousand

1:14:54

dollars. Well at a black room, you could

1:14:56

add that ass whom tad. Yeah,

1:15:00

oh, I know you ain't spit

1:15:02

on Uncle Robert in

1:15:07

front of us. I tell you didn't just

1:15:09

do that. We all

1:15:11

know nothing, But you don't spit

1:15:14

on Uncle Robert. Yeah, hey, respects.

1:15:16

I see Uncle Robert getting

1:15:19

up after that. I

1:15:21

see him getting up after that. That

1:15:25

is crazy. I'm mad are you that you

1:15:27

do that? Though? I'm mad. You got to be at

1:15:30

the point in your life you gotta let stuff. God,

1:15:35

I mean really, you ain't got to worry about

1:15:38

nothing he ever said or did? Right?

1:15:42

Right? All right, thanks guys.

1:15:44

Coming up in thirty three minutes after the hour, we'll

1:15:46

play around if would you rather right after this

1:15:49

you're listening morning

1:15:52

show time for would you rather?

1:15:54

Would you rather live three days

1:15:57

on the moon or would you

1:15:59

rather get your pass code to

1:16:02

your mate? I'm kicking how long

1:16:04

a time you get to the moon? Cold?

1:16:07

And my wife she got it anyway? Yeah,

1:16:09

okay, so Steve give up

1:16:11

his Pascal can comment, you're going to

1:16:14

the moon. He's leaving

1:16:16

in the morning. Leaving in the morning. You

1:16:19

gotta be on there for three days and

1:16:23

when I come back, I got my phone,

1:16:26

right, okay,

1:16:29

Junior whole

1:16:32

pilot with timing crazy

1:16:40

present, give your passco

1:16:47

that's not in your vows? All right?

1:16:50

Would you rather eat only steaking lobster

1:16:52

for a whole week or would you rather

1:16:55

be vegan for a week taking

1:16:57

lobster or a vegan can

1:17:00

lost some way more fun. I'm on my second

1:17:02

day of this dar day talking

1:17:04

to me about no damn steak and lofting

1:17:10

that's all I want right now. Yeah,

1:17:12

I'm gonna do I'm gonna do the vegan. Yeah,

1:17:15

you just have to do it for a week, all right, really

1:17:20

probably what I need to do anyway, right,

1:17:25

all right? Would you rather go

1:17:27

roller skating naked? Just

1:17:30

go roller skating naked? Or go bowling

1:17:32

and dress shoes? I'm dress

1:17:35

I know I'm a fall skating. I

1:17:37

know I'm gonna fall and you Yeah,

1:17:43

but I got damn clothes on. I'm

1:17:47

telling you right now, it's hard to skate

1:17:49

holding yourself and

1:17:53

fall to You need your arm.

1:17:55

You need your arm. You brace

1:17:58

yourself. Yes, you

1:18:00

can't even get over that by the wall and grab

1:18:02

the rill and nothing. You're trying to cover yourself.

1:18:07

Yeah, statement swinging

1:18:13

all right? Would you rather have

1:18:16

your belly kiss or would you rather

1:18:18

have your thigh kids? Either

1:18:21

one? You don't that where I want you to be thih

1:18:27

either one? Junior us

1:18:31

disease Steve,

1:18:35

Steve, Yeah,

1:18:39

you kiss my thigh, slid

1:18:43

your head probably rub against me. That's

1:18:47

the beginning of a wonderful evening.

1:18:50

Like yeah, yeah, your

1:18:54

hair touched me. We're

1:18:56

ending on that note. That's

1:18:58

today's rounded with you rather all

1:19:01

right? Five minutes

1:19:04

after last break

1:19:06

of the day and we'll close out the show with Steve

1:19:08

Harvey right after this. You're

1:19:11

listening to show.

1:19:14

All right, guys, here we are last break of

1:19:16

the day. We want to say thank you to

1:19:18

our friend and family member Earthquake for

1:19:21

stopping by today. Congratulations

1:19:23

and all that he's doing. Yeah, all

1:19:26

that he's doing. Got a big tour coming

1:19:28

up, the legendary tour. And then

1:19:30

he yelled and said, will be in

1:19:32

Buffalo for a benefit concert for

1:19:35

the Buffalo victims of the mass

1:19:37

shooting. There so good things on the

1:19:39

horizon for a quake, you know, And we're

1:19:41

all these years man to hell quakes

1:19:43

say this is the first tool. He's

1:19:46

headline, and I understand what he's

1:19:48

talking about. I'm talking about major touring. I'm

1:19:51

not talking about no you know, with no

1:19:53

group of people. I'm talking about where

1:19:56

you are the guy. Yeah,

1:19:58

and it's your tool and you

1:20:01

going to theaters. Yeah that's

1:20:03

major. Yeah, that is major.

1:20:05

And then he's got a movie coming out with Jerry Seinfeld,

1:20:08

So I mean, yeah, yeah, that

1:20:10

is really huge. Really happy for

1:20:13

Earthquake. He deserves it. Funny, funny,

1:20:15

funny man, really

1:20:18

funny too. He's a comedians. Comedian

1:20:21

m After

1:20:26

the Kings was

1:20:28

the first major two I've ever had. After

1:20:31

the Kings. I was touring before the Kings,

1:20:35

but it wasn't an established tour.

1:20:37

You know. I did a B market tour at

1:20:39

one time. But I'm talking

1:20:41

about something I was really really proud of was

1:20:45

touring after the Kings because

1:20:48

I was doing big venues. I was still

1:20:51

doing some marinas too. You

1:20:55

know what I like about you, Steve besides

1:20:57

your stage show, but you know everything

1:21:00

about the business. You know how

1:21:02

many seats the arena has, how

1:21:05

many seconds before

1:21:08

a laugh or you know, you

1:21:10

know between laughs and all? You know so

1:21:12

many deeps. That's

1:21:15

quite impressive. I really

1:21:17

was committed to stand up man, not

1:21:19

only as a student,

1:21:23

but a business and

1:21:26

a science. And

1:21:28

I made it my job to know

1:21:31

every single aspect of

1:21:34

my craft because

1:21:36

you're gonna need it. I

1:21:40

know, I know when a guy can sell

1:21:43

you know, listen, here's here's

1:21:45

what like. Here's a difference. You know, you gotta get

1:21:47

your career in order, and if you miss the steps,

1:21:49

you're gonna have to go back and get on him. Here's

1:21:52

a deal. Selling out a theater

1:21:54

is different from selling out a comedy club.

1:21:58

Comedy club comes in with a little

1:22:00

bit of an audience already because it's a comedy

1:22:02

club and it's a date spot. But

1:22:05

when a person come, you come to town in a comedy

1:22:07

club, person has options. They got

1:22:10

Friday night, Saturday night, Sunday night. They

1:22:12

got an early show, they got laid show, they got middle

1:22:14

show, they got times to pick. When

1:22:16

you come to town to do a theater, it's

1:22:20

one night. It's one time. A

1:22:23

person has to make a real decision

1:22:26

to come see you. You find out how

1:22:28

famous you are real quick or how good you are,

1:22:30

because now a person has to go. I

1:22:32

don't have three shows tonight and three

1:22:35

nights to pick from this guy

1:22:37

coming one night, one

1:22:40

show. I

1:22:42

got to drop everything to get there. You

1:22:45

find out real fast who you are, real

1:22:47

real fast. And then in

1:22:50

the days that's what I judge it as. And

1:22:52

then I realized, in order

1:22:54

to make a real living at this, I need to

1:22:56

get in the Marinas and sell three

1:22:58

thousand tickets, and then

1:23:00

I could make a real living. Then I said, okay,

1:23:02

if I could sell five thousand tickets,

1:23:05

na, man, I got real lifestyle

1:23:08

going from me. And it happened, And

1:23:10

then every nine and then I do a six thousand,

1:23:12

seventy five hundred seater, you

1:23:15

know. But I was very conscious and careful

1:23:17

about where I performed. I made

1:23:19

sure that I had built up a

1:23:21

substantial comedy club track record

1:23:24

in that town before I went to the venue

1:23:26

in that town. And

1:23:29

I just very sure footedly, like a

1:23:31

capricorn, like a goat that scales

1:23:34

high heights. I was very sure

1:23:36

footed in my approach to my career. I'm

1:23:39

very blessed by God. Man. It give me that

1:23:41

understanding about the business, the

1:23:43

science of it, and then also being

1:23:46

a student of it. That

1:23:49

was always impressive to me that you knew that. I

1:23:53

mean, you know, you shouldn't know your business, of course,

1:23:55

but yeah, it's important absolutely,

1:23:58

you know. But it's like any as respect

1:24:00

of your life. Man, you know, facehood,

1:24:02

our works is dead. You

1:24:06

know, You've got to put some work in. Man, study,

1:24:09

study your craft, hone your craft, be

1:24:12

a perfectionist about yourself. Get a system

1:24:14

that works for you. There's no one set

1:24:16

system to this, but you got to get a system

1:24:19

that works for you. It's like I did

1:24:21

this interview or earn your leisure,

1:24:24

and I spent a substantial amount of time talking

1:24:26

about eighty five South Carlos,

1:24:31

Chico Bean and DC Young five

1:24:34

and I was just I had

1:24:37

and I had to really stop and get them

1:24:39

young boys credit because they're doing something

1:24:41

I didn't think could be done. They're

1:24:43

sitting on stage as an improv group

1:24:46

and they're selling out and they're very

1:24:49

very entertaining, man, and

1:24:51

I don't know how they

1:24:54

do that and it's

1:24:56

never been done with African

1:24:59

Americans before. This is the first.

1:25:01

Yeah, but there's yeah,

1:25:05

they've been on the show before it too, they've been on our

1:25:07

show. Just crazy great guys on

1:25:09

and off the stage. Two yes,

1:25:12

for sure, for sure. But they

1:25:15

stand on your shoulders. They come behind you. And

1:25:17

that's great advice to know what

1:25:20

you know, to know your craft, like you say inside

1:25:22

and out that that's across the board.

1:25:25

Whatever. And that's it. So hey,

1:25:27

y'all listen, that's it for the day.

1:25:29

Hey listen, here's a suggestion, everybody talk

1:25:32

to God because he

1:25:34

would absolutely love to hear

1:25:36

from you today. Y'all, stay

1:25:39

and people will see y'all. The law for
