In this two-part episode Dr. Bernard Lafayette Jr.  talks about the philosophy of nonviolence. As a founder of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee SNCC in 1960 he helped organize the sit ins in Tennessee and the Freedom Rides. He applied the principles of nonviolence in organizing the movement for voter registration and civil rights in Selma Alabama.
