In all his years associated with Sturt Football Club, the late Jack Oatey only ventured to the country once for an appearance. He journeyed to Port Broughton and was part of the Trevor Sims Roast, our podcast guest. Trevor is the Senior Colts Coach at Broughton-Mundoora today. He’s coached many teams over the journey, but he’s best remembered as the dual Premiership player for Sturt, the Double Blues, the famous number 4. He managed 12 years at Sturt and 250 games for the Double Blues. One of his closest mates was Rick Davies, the Jumbo Prince. In Trevor Sims’ many years at Sturt, he never lived in Adelaide. He drove and sometimes flew on a small plane to training on Tuesdays or Thursdays, or match days and back to the farm.  The mop of curly hair, sideboards, and mustache are no longer part of Trevor's look.  But he still loves footy.
