Today I am pleased to be chatting with VG Meats farmer Cory Van Groningen.

In addition to running the VG Haldimand farm with his wife, Cory is also passionate about the business side of farming, which is how he earned the title of in-house politician at VG Meats, a family-owned business in Ontario that has been serving high-quality meat since the 1970s. Not only does Cory meet with officials on behalf of the beef industry but he also attends conferences and meetings to promote the mission and mandate of the company.

In today’s episode, Cory will discuss VG Meats’ direct-to-consumer approach including the importance of communicating with consumers across the meat counter and delivering the products that consumers really want to buy.

He’ll also share his knowledge of holistic management when it comes to farming, including planned grazing, sequestering carbon, and much more. Keep listening to learn about how Cory is implementing holistic management on his farm.
