Hello and a very warm welcome back to the Time to Talk podcast.
I do apologise for the extended break between the last episode and this, sadly I’ve found my dissertation doesn’t write itself when I’m not looking at it, and among that I’ve released two new singles under GhostStory, and if you fancy listening they’ll be linked in the episode description.
Today’s episode is a marvellous conversation with music industry extradoinaire, Damian Morgan. As well as being the fantastic head of careers department at BIMM Manchester, Damian has managed and worked with a multitude of artist’s spanning generations, and his current roster includes fantastic acts as The Orielles and Julia Bardo.
Damian was very kind enough to open up a dialogue about his passions for music, expectations of the music industry on both artists and managers, and the lack of support available to those committing their lives to the music industry. We also discuss spring cleaning, the importance of openness within the music industy, and Damian’s on history among the Madchester scene.
Enjoy.
