On the 30th episode of The Matters Of The Heart podcast, I have the honour of having  Dr. Imaobong Westgarth in our midst. She is a singer, songwriter, intercessor, and lover of God. 

Her music journey began right from a very young age when she started singing in the school choir at St. Mary’s science college Abakaliki, Nigeria. 

She has since developed to support several artists from singing backing vocals to supporting live stage performances. Through her constant singing engagement in church choirs and Christian music groups, Imaobong has sharpened her skills and grown as a contemporary gospel artist.

Academically, Imaobong has a BSc in biochemistry from Portsmouth University and holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge. 

She is an author of several articles in leading scientific journals such as science mag and the proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Imaobong is married to her husband Paul and they are blessed with three children, Isaac, Favour, and Joshua.
