Michelle Redfern is a leadership expert and gender equality advisor with a passion for working with CEOs to create inclusive workplaces, advocating for women in sports and helping ambitious women navigate the corporate world with an emphasis on self-leadership and vulnerability. 

Michelle’s mission is to close the global leadership gender gap and create a level playing field for women and girls. Her journey began with a growing awareness of injustice and a desire to make a difference. She experienced the challenges of balancing work and family responsibilities and became frustrated with the lack of progress in achieving gender equality. This led her to advocate for change and work with women to navigate the system. The system, as she describes it, includes a lack of progressive policies, a need for inclusive leadership training, and a redistribution of workload to promote flexibility and equity. 

In today’s conversation Michelle shares about her own experience of an epic fail, the lessons she learned from it, the significance of knowing one's unique value proposition and the launch of her first book, The Leadership Compass, a guide for women to build confidence and navigate their own leadership journeys.
