To kick things off on Unseen Hours, Drew went back to the beginning, sitting down with the man who helped him harness his drive for a lifetime in the game. For all players that want to work up to another level, the required drive and dedication is the starting point to succeed. At Webster Groves High School, Coach Jay Blossom had seen players of all ability levels in his program. 

In Drew, Coach Blossom found a hungry, committed player that was willing to put in the hours and reps needed get better. That no limits, no shortcuts approach is relatable for all players of a high caliber. Still, for all of those that want to be great, the necessary attention to detail and capacity to improve on weaknesses demands a relentless will to push beyond regular expectations.

With Coach Blossom, Drew identifies the parallel traits that drove a young kid to build on a passion, to where all players can draw on their own experiences. For coaches, seeing players with that hunger is a welcome sight, it’s then their job to channel that desire en route to guiding them to success.
