She is renowned in the music industry for her work as a successful concert promoter working with the likes of Jay Z and Lil Kim. After contracting HIV in 1995 from a man she thought she was going to marry, Maria Davis decided to spend the rest of her life fighting to stay alive, help spread awareness within her community and raise money to support research for a cure.
