• I ended up in the beauty industry about 30 years ago working part time in a basement, doing sales of nail products and going out to a few salons, while I worked in a bank. From there the business grew over time eventually moving into our new warehouse where we have five chemists working directly with us formulating, developing and producing the products with us that we sell products to distributors, sub-distributor and educators worldwide.
• We have a team of educators worldwide – ACE (Accent Certified Educators) – that work with us. They train clients and nail technicians who range from just finishing school to those who have been working in the industry for years. 
• It’s very rewarding after so many years to work in an industry and believe in what you’re doing and believe in the products and believe in the people you’re working with and to see the product line expand around the world. But for me, it’s been very rewarding watching a lot of people grow over the years to be large distributors, just being a small part of that is very satisfying for me
• Trade shows expose everybody to what’s out there in the industry, what’s available to them, what they can really achieve being a nail technician. If they go and watch the nail competitions and see some of these amazing nail artists out there doing the nails and displaying the nails, they can really see all the possibilities that are there for them. Some of the best educators in the world work at the booths in the trades shows and they allow you to ask questions and watch them do nails.

‘Education is the key. If you have people that know how to educate on the products, and how to use the products correctly, that will take them a long way. It’s really about helping your fellow nail technicians become better at what they’re doing.’

‘I love travelling, any opportunity to get on a plane and fly somewhere I’m gone, but I’m so fortunate to travel to many different countries and see them, but also to work with the people that live there which gives me the opportunity to see those countries in a different way than a tourist.’

‘My passion about trade shows is getting a chance to get out there and talk to people who are looking for a new product line, seeing what their needs are, and the technicians actually using our products, one-on-one. Also, to meet other distributors. The biggest thing is to go out there and show off your products.’

‘I’m so blessed to be in this industry. I’ve met so many wonderful people, had so many experiences, it’s a very fun, rewarding career to be in. It brings out everybody’s artistic side, I find that most people I’ve worked with are so good at what they do and they’re so willing to share their knowledge with everybody to make everyone even better than they are today.’
