On this Quick Take episode of The Weekend Take, we sit down with Creator and Host of "Super Geeked Up" (www.supergeekedup.com) and Writer/Director of the Digital Series "Super Knocked Up", Jeff Burns.
We talk about Jeff's path in the film industry, which started with comics sparking Jeff's imagination at a young age, prompting him to write his own stories, and eventually manifested itself as an itch create films towards the end of his college career.
From there, Jeff took a screenwriting course that would change everything and result in the creation of "Super Knocked Up", a Digital Series which to date has amassed over 5 million views across many platforms. When a major change had to be made between Season 1 and Season 2 of "Super Knocked Up", it presented an opportunity for Jeff to smooth that transition with "Super Geeked Up".
Finding a whole new avenue to celebrate all things geeky and a whole new audience, Jeff continued with "Super Geeked Up" and to date has had more than 250 episodes and ten seasons.
We also discuss how "Super Geeked Up" and it's community has made a safe haven for fans of all properties and fandoms to be free of the toxicity that exists among many sects of pop culture today.
Lastly, we discuss Jeff's role as a major contributor to The Weekend Take's upcoming Patreon Patron Exclusive Series "The Rise (and Fall) of Skywalker". Jeff discusses joining The Weekend Take and other guests to discuss his thoughts on and the impact of the Prequel Trilogy (Episodes I, II, and III) and the Original Trilogy (Episodes IV, V, and VI).
