How yoga and mindfulness improve executive brain function - and social and emotional intelligence.

The executive brain functions are all the ‘adulting’ things that we are required to do: like plan ahead, organise, assess risks, empathise with others, manage time, rationalise... and The region of the brain responsible for this type of thinking - the prefrontal cortex - is still under development in children and adolescents.

Today I want to talk about a few ways that yoga & mindfulness can help aid this development, particularly of the executive function region.
