Gumoshabe Harriet Rwosa (you can call her Harriet) started The Happy Girls Project in her hometown of Kabale, Uganda. Happy Girls Project makes and supplies reusable sanitary pads for school age girls as well as educates the general public on menstruation. Harriet comes onto the show to talk about period poverty, how she's helping change the way people think about menstruation, and what plans she has in store for the future of her organization.
