We're back to the Extremely Online Discourse with this one. The irony, to me, is that this podcast started out by tracing the history of cultural backlashes, without apparently suggesting how we learn from them. It seems so obvious that the Discourse was going to land here the whole time, that I still don't understand how Rowling feels it was worth it. Some of the angry people are going to agree with you and some of the angry people are going to disagree with you. Nobody (except the Twitter advertisers) is going to win here.
