To fix an unconvincing sentence, you have to ask yourself the following question: is the problem inside or outside the sentence? In other words, is the problem the words or the content? If the problem is inside the sentence, you must revise the words and choose them more carefully. If the problem is outside the sentence, then you must revise the paragraph's content.
