→ Later confirmed early Thursday that this was an angle added by Hangman himself; and is completely a work.

→ Jerry Lynn, ECW Legend and current AEW Employee, says that this should not have been reported because “God forbid we have a cliffhanger going into next week.”

→ New report came out about Hangman might have a personal issue that prevents him from being at the PPV; so the ankle angle was done as a cover story.
