Benjamin Chin and Zaven Embree are the two founders of House of Hiphop, a New York City based music festival that features up and coming musicians playing over the span of four days.
Benjamin Chin: Formerly in the Singapore Armed Forces, he is now a saxophonist in NYC, and is also a band leader of QNA. An ardent fan of 60's & 70's jazz and contemporary hip-hop, he aims to find the middle ground between the two in his playing.
Zaven Embree: Also based in New York City, Zaven is a pianist, singer and composer. His works focuses on bridging the gap between the foundation laid by the masters of jazz, funk, gospel, and r&b with modern technology. A proponent of the afro-futurism movement, he grew up listening to a wide range of artists from Miles Davis to Steely Dan. Zaven also works as a musical director and business owner in NYC.
