An evocation of another time and another place.  Paterson, the place where the remembering takes place,  was magical in many ways, witness William Carlos Williams, Allen Ginsburg, to say nothing of Lou Costello and Larry  Doby.  The time is the twenties transported via my father to me in the forties and beyond.   Somehow I find this remembering transcendent.  And I don’t use that word lightly.
