Even though I was explicitly told this was true crime parody, I found myself white-knuckle driving while listening to the first season. So absurd that it could very well be real! This is my favourite scripted podcast!

What a hidden gem! This Sounds Serious is so funny! The concept and execution of this parody true crime podcast is excellent. Listen closely... some of the one-liners in this show are genius. Where do I go to give these people money?

One of the funniest podcasts I've listened to. This is the perfect "true crime" series. Fills the same niche as things like American Vandal or Trial & Error. The mystery is treated seriously but with a cast of endlessly absurd characters.

I went in blind for this podcast, I prefer to not know much about anything I start to watch, read or listen so I don't get any sort of spoilers... After listening to season 1 I tried to google this murder, I feel fooled. But I am not mad at all, I wouldn't mind being fooled again.

This series has some incredible writing, directing, and acting. The comedy is subtle enough that it is easy to mistake this for nonfiction at first.

Really clever parody of the true crime genre, with all its mannerisms and tropes. The writing is excellent, the cast in all 3 seasons (every season follows a different "case") really good.Season 1 is the best for me.

It's done so well that it that you believe it's real. Definitely had me searching to see if the first season was real.
