Single moms face some of the greatest parenthood challenges. Without the traditional family structure, social support, or financial help, this population of women is left not only doing it all, but also forging their own way in the world. This follow-up segment to episode 2 on hot moms features two intimate interviews with single mothers who are figuring out how to live authentically, shatter stereotypes, and push beyond the isolation they both feel.

Personal Stories:

Racquelle Perry, founder of women empowerment brand Moms Slay Too living in Arlington, Virginia

Sarah Kingsbury, writer and editor living in Fairfield, Iowa

Expert Guests:

“Don't think about what anybody else has to say. They're not walking in your shoes, they're not sleeping in your bed at night, and they're not driving your car or taking care of your child.”

-Racquelle Perry, founder of Moms Slay Too

Thanks for listening to the third episode of Women and Radio, a podcast that explores how the beliefs we hold shape women’s lives.

For my next episode on the SlutWalk movement, I want to hear from all of you! If you’ve participated in a march, what has it done for you? How well do you think this movement addresses causes such as rape culture and victim blaming? Please email me a voice recording so we can share what you think in the next episode at [email protected].
