He urges the people to turn away from their wickedness and return to the ways of the Lord. He warns that the destruction of Jerusalem is imminent due to the people's disobedience and lack of repentance.Despite the impending judgment, Jeremiah offers hope and reassurance. He prophesies a future restoration, where God will gather His scattered people from exile and bring them back to their land. He speaks of a new covenant that God will establish with His people, one that will surpass the previous covenant and be characterised by a deep personal relationship with God.
