Today we talk about a topic we are very familiar with – barter (or trading). Way back late last millennium, we became members of a barter exchange with our then businesses. After a few years, we decided to launch our own barter exchange (check out the course we developed for anyone wanting to start an exchange at www.CertifiedBarterSpecialist.com) and finally, we designed software for barter exchanges to use. So we know barter.

But while the salesperson of your local barter exchange may tell you it is perfect for your business, it may or may not be. Or maybe you are thinking of doing a few direct trades with another business, and that can be great…or not.

In today’s episode we talk about what a barter exchange is, and we give you some guidelines to think about when deciding if it is right for your business. We also talk about trading directly with another business and what to look out for.
