Top End Guide

If you want to know anything about Darwin & the Top End... where to go, what to see, what to do, how to get there, where to eat then this podcast is for you.Until recently, Jac was hosting the afternoon drive show “The Cruze with Jac Bowie” on Mix 104.9 FM in Darwin; and was also working as the Online Content Manager for both Mix 104.9 & Hot 100 stations, overseeing other presenters output on the website and social media as well as making frequent contributions herself.Today, while still up in Darwin, she's contributing to Sun 969 & 8HA in Alice Springs as their Top End correspondent, presenting the Top End Guide every Friday on both stations. Before all this, there was a successful 10 year career producing world class events and bringing hit shows into Australia, such as The Hurly Burly Show from London’s West End, and creating iconic burlesque & variety events such as The Burlesque Ball, Miss Burlesque Australia, La Femme and The Ruby Revue. In 2012 she took a break from producing and decided to help other women use those skills to create their own businesses too. So, she created Business in Heels, which during her reign was the fastest growing network of business women in Australia. What started as a small monthly event went on to have franchises in 45 locations worldwide within 18 months, with locations as far and wide as Canada, Spain, Singapore, Thailand, New Zealand, United States and even Nepal. She sold the business to franchisees in 2014.Jac is quite the influencer for women 25-45, either because they attended her shows or they joined Business in Heels in one of those 45 locations around the world, and consequently, she gathered an impressive audience herself of over 30k+ followers on Facebook, 20k+ on Instagram, and 30K+ on Twitter. And never quite fully hanging up her “producer hat,” Jac also helps other people with their events. In 2015 she was the Entertainment Coordinator for Sydney Mardi Gras, and she's also worked with Cirque Du Soleil, Spiegelworld, and Disney, and was the producer for Short & Sweet in Sydney and Canberra, and she consults to small businesses with her Flourish online marketing program. To find out more about any of the events mentioned on Darwin Diary, visithttp://www.jacbowie.comTo find out more about Tourism Top End, visithttp://www.tourismtopend.com.au
