Native to Jersey City, Alessia Aron started her food tour company, originally called Garden State Food Tours with two other partners in 2013. After only one partner continued on with her vision, they went on to become the Jersey Girls Food Tours taking on Jersey City, Princeton and Red Bank and she most recently became a solopreneur with her new business; Beyond the Plate Food Tours! After graduating from Rutgers University with a journalism degree, Alessia found herself unhappy in a corporate sales position only to realize it was not for her and booked a one way ticket to South America - that ultimately changed the course of her life. She returned home broke and thus began working in restaurants to make ends meet and finding her true passion in food. She always knew she was an entrepreneur, but never imagined being a foodie would be apart of that.On this episode of #TOTR, she shares with us her story, tips on creating and dissolving business partnerships and the how and why you may or may not consider one. Topics we discussed:? How partnerships formed? Comparing work ethics and styles? Legal aspects of partnering up? Defining roles within the partnership? What happens if one of the partners wants out? Having the hard conversations? Why you may or may not consider a partnershipPs. If you love food as much a we do, book one: http://www.beyondtheplatefoodtours.com/
