Born in Bosnia in the early ‘90s and escaping a life of war and hardship, Adaleta Avdic came to the United States as a refugee when she was 5 years old. She and her family were taken in by a Catholic refugee rescue where her family found an opportunity to start a new life and ultimately, led her to live in California. She went on to graduate from the University of Arizona, with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Business Writing.
