Episode 91 has been a few weeks in the making, ever since we first heard of the new entry into the toys-to-life genre, Lightseekers! Going back to their initial introduction announcement about the upcoming mobile game/ toys-to-life game/ card game hybrid, we have been incredibly excited about Lightseekers. It was only inevitable that we had a formal introduction with the team behind the newest franchise to get regular coverage on the Toys For Games ‘Cast, as we talked about how Lightseekers is kickstarting the passion behind the game.

During the interview with a room full of great folks representing Lightseekers, we chatted about what exactly Lightseekers is, dove into the madness of how a card game grew from the toys-to-life figures, crazy whiteboards, the importance of building a community, a dino with a top hat, and much, much more! We also talked about the Kickstarter campaign that Lightseekers is beginning, and trust us - it’s exciting, and worth checking out!

After saying goodbye to our new friends, we got down to talking about the rest of the news from around the genre, including a random restock of amiibo with a retailer exclusive, LEGO Dimensions Waves 8 and & 9 starting to make sense, and the resolved mystery about the Creation App for Skylanders that will allow fans to bring their imaginations to life in physical form.

From there, we read the #CommunityQuestion and awarded a listener a cool prize for having the Response of the Week. Then we tried to stump the expert with a trivia question submitted by the community for the Inquire This! segment. Finally, we wrapped up the show with some fantastic emails, as always!
