1:49
go, go.
1:51
Bye. Alright,
2:02
Stacy. Admittedly, I'm
2:05
pretty sure this story is not about a cat.
2:08
It's kind of about a cat. I don't
2:10
know anything about Cat Cora. Give me
2:12
the trashy lowdown. Alright, well, Cat
2:14
Cora made history when she became the first-ever
2:17
female Iron Chef on the
2:19
Food
2:19
Network's hit show in 2005.
2:22
Since then, she's remained a fixture in the food
2:24
world and in pop culture. Cat
2:26
capitalized on her Iron Chef win by
2:28
becoming a lifestyle entrepreneur, author,
2:31
frequent guest of talk shows, contributing
2:33
editor, and advocate for healthy living. She's
2:36
also been the executive chef at many
2:38
restaurants as well as opened and operated
2:41
restaurants of her own.
2:43
I don't think they're all still open, but I think she's opened 18 restaurants
2:46
in her. Holy Cats. Holy
2:48
Cats Cora. Holy Cat Cora.
2:51
She has truly earned the title
2:53
of Celebrity Chef. Alicia,
2:56
you'll be thrilled to learn that she has recipes for
2:58
copycat versions of things like loaded potato
3:00
skins and cheddar bay biscuits. Oh,
3:03
yum. We're going to enjoy some tasty rewards
3:05
from this story's research. Oh, fantastic.
3:08
Anyway, Cat is from Jackson, Mississippi.
3:11
She came out as gay to her family at the age of 19.
3:14
And although Mississippi in the 1980s
3:16
was, you know, maybe not the most open-minded
3:19
place to be, Cat said that she
3:21
didn't really care what anyone had to say about
3:23
her being a lesbian. And it sounds like her family was
3:26
really accepting. So all is
3:28
good. Good on them. In the culinary
3:30
field, she says that she didn't
3:31
experience significant discrimination
3:34
due to her sexual orientation, but
3:36
that women in general were typically unwelcome
3:38
in kind of finer dining type
3:40
kitchens. She told
3:42
HuffPost, for me personally, I've experienced
3:45
more harassment and discrimination as a woman
3:47
than I have as a lesbian. I
3:49
guess that makes high-end kitchens
3:52
sort of open-minded anyway.
3:55
In addition to her many personal and professional
3:57
highs, she's
3:59
also experienced. some significant challenges
4:01
in life as well. She's been married twice
4:04
and unfortunately divorced
4:06
twice also, although great
4:08
for us. Since she's a public
4:10
figure, her divorces and one
4:13
messy post divorce situation
4:15
in particular have also been quite public.
4:18
Me?
4:18
Yeah, let's do this. Absolutely.
4:21
Catherine Ann Cora was born
4:23
on April 3rd, 1967
4:24
in Jackson, Mississippi. Ah,
4:28
Aries girl. Okay. Although
4:31
typically I think when we think of
4:33
Mississippi style cuisine, we think of
4:35
soul food, deep fryers and Kool-Aid
4:37
pickles. What are, I'm sorry, what
4:40
are Kool-Aid pickles? Kool-Aid pickles where
4:42
you mix up a batch of Kool-Aid and
4:44
then you dump all the pickle juice
4:46
out of a jar of pickles and then you pour the Kool-Aid into
4:49
the jar of pickles and you put it in the fridge for
4:51
a
4:51
few hours, a few days, not quite sure on
4:53
the mechanics and then you get a sweet and so, it's a Kool-icle.
4:57
This is brand new information
4:59
to me. I don't think I've ever had a Kool-Aid pickle.
5:01
As far as I know, Kat Cora
5:03
has no experience
5:06
with this whatsoever but it is one of my favorite
5:08
Mississippi food things in the world
5:10
ever. Kool-Aid pickles, who
5:12
knew? Kool-icles. Coolicles.
5:16
All right, so Kat was raised by parents who embraced
5:18
many different types of food
5:20
partly because her father was Greek and
5:22
her mother had traveled all over the world because
5:25
her father was in the military
5:26
so both of her parents had very broad
5:29
palates and, you know, beyond
5:32
maybe your traditional Mississippi cooking. Her
5:34
grandfather, father, and her godfather
5:37
were all restaurateurs. Oh, really? So,
5:40
yeah, she knew at an early age that she would
5:42
also like to
5:44
own restaurants. She was
5:46
interested in all aspects of a healthy
5:48
lifestyle so she majored
5:50
in college and exercise physiology
5:52
and biology
5:54
before going on to attend the Koolinary
5:56
Institute of America, the CIA, in
5:58
Hyde Park, New York. Oh wow, okay.
6:01
It was here that she learned just how male-dominated
6:04
the professional food and restaurant world was.
6:07
Fortunately, though, Kat
6:09
had met one of her idols, Julia Child,
6:12
while she was still deciding how to pursue her
6:14
desire to become an executive chef. Oh, that
6:17
had to have been incredible. So incredible. Julia
6:19
Child gave her very specific and very prudent
6:22
advice,
6:22
saying, you need to go
6:24
to the Culinary Institute of America and
6:26
as soon as possible, get a culinary
6:28
degree.
6:29
Which is what she did. Julia
6:31
Child continued to be a friend and mentor to
6:34
Cora. Cora would tell the Food Network of this
6:36
quote, she taught me a lot about integrity,
6:38
being gracious and about always
6:40
being
6:40
a student. You never quit learning.
6:43
Always be a student of cooking.
6:45
Well, that's a good way to think about it. Absolutely.
6:48
After culinary school, Kat was one of only
6:50
a few women to be accepted to cook at two
6:53
different three star Michelin restaurants
6:55
in France.
6:56
She then returned to the U.S. and made her
6:59
TV debut in 1999 as co-host of the Food Network's
7:03
Melting Pot
7:04
with Rocco Desperito.
7:06
Making a big name for herself in the culinary
7:09
world, Kat
7:09
Cora made history in 2005 when
7:12
she became the first ever
7:14
female Iron Chef on
7:16
the Food Network's hit show Iron Chef America.
7:19
I mean, what an accomplishment. That's amazing.
7:21
Sure. I used to love that show. So
7:24
good
7:24
on her. Her career has been one
7:26
success after another since then, and she
7:28
holds many firsts for women in
7:30
the industry.
7:31
And now we move on to first marriage
7:34
and ugly split. Oh no. Oh yeah.
7:37
So Kat had been in a long term committed relationship
7:39
with her partner, Jennifer, since 1998. They
7:43
share four sons together. In 2013,
7:46
they officially married after being together
7:48
for 15 years. Even as it
7:50
was legal, wherever they lived in 2010,
7:53
the couple did an interview with Working Mother magazine
7:55
where they discussed their journey to becoming parents.
7:58
So they're together. They have four kids
8:01
after they've been together 15 years, then they get
8:03
married. Right. Wow. Well,
8:06
they wouldn't have been allowed to prior. Well, no,
8:08
I get that. I just am anticipating
8:11
the bad that's coming. OK, go ahead. Right. You would
8:13
think this would be like, oh, finally. Finally.
8:15
Yeah. Here's the piece of paper that,
8:18
you know, and yeah, then it all fell apart. OK.
8:20
Kat said, quote, We knew we wanted to have four kids.
8:23
She didn't want to wait. And she got pregnant quickly.
8:26
After she did, we decided I shouldn't
8:28
wait. It would be easier to raise two young babies
8:30
together almost as twins. Jennifer
8:32
could breastfeed for me when I was on the road.
8:35
So the couple used one sperm donor for
8:37
all pregnancies.
8:39
And Cora explained to the doctor implanted
8:41
Jennifer and me with each other's eggs.
8:44
So she gave birth to
8:46
our son, but he's my biological child.
8:49
I carried another son, but he's Jennifer's
8:51
biological child.
8:53
Interesting way to do it. Also, we avoid
8:55
using the names of young children. And I think all
8:57
of her children are still pretty young. So
9:00
we're just that is one heck of a punnett
9:02
square, though. If you think about how
9:04
everything's cross going
9:06
in that one, that's amazing. Jennifer
9:08
would end up giving birth to three of their
9:10
children. Cats gave birth to
9:12
one. And that is their four
9:15
kids. Yep. Four kids, six person family,
9:17
all sons, actually. So
9:20
once the children were born, the parents
9:22
had to go through the process of legal adoption
9:25
because they were a same sex couple. They were not technically
9:27
married. Isn't that incredible? Even though
9:29
they birthed the kids?
9:32
Yes. Wow. Wow.
9:34
They had to become second parent, like
9:36
adoptive second parents to the. Makes sense.
9:39
It's yeah, it's not great.
9:41
I think that's done with now that we have legal
9:43
marriage. But anyway,
9:45
in June of 2012, there
9:47
was a bit of a challenging time
9:49
because Kat was arrested for DUI
9:52
in Santa Barbara, where no where they lived.
9:55
It was determined that she had a blood alcohol
9:57
level of point two zero, which
9:59
is.
10:00
way over the .08 that
10:03
is, you know, danger
10:05
zone. There was obviously some bad press
10:07
stemming from this, not just for the DUI
10:10
but also for the circumstances surrounding
10:12
it and Cora's mugshot.
10:14
The police allowed Cora to come back several days
10:16
later for her mugshot, so in the
10:18
picture she had her hair done, she looked composed,
10:22
she was obviously sober. Cora
10:24
was taken to a sobering house instead
10:26
of jail on the night of her arrest as
10:28
well. A lot of people were like, hmm,
10:31
would that happen to me, random
10:33
nobody if I got pulled over in Santa Barbara? Interesting,
10:35
a sobering house. They just let you hang
10:38
out and get sober. Yeah. Okay. I mean,
10:40
yeah, the Santa Barbara PD spokesperson
10:42
defended the decision and claimed it was
10:44
definitely not because she's a celebrity.
10:46
So, of course not. Sure.
10:48
Quote, the sobering house is a place where cooperative,
10:51
nonviolent people who've been arrested for DUI
10:54
are taken to sober up before being released.
10:57
Before being released and charged
10:59
or? Well, she was charged. Yeah.
11:02
Interesting. But she had
11:04
no prior record. I mean, it was sure
11:07
it was one of those things that happened. She released
11:09
the following statement, quote, I deeply
11:11
regret my decision to drive that evening after
11:14
my designated driver became unavailable.
11:16
I learned a very important lesson from this experience
11:18
and take full accountability for my actions.
11:21
This will never happen again. And
11:23
as far as I know, has not.
11:25
Get on her. So, she was ultimately
11:27
sentenced to three years probation, nine
11:29
months of DUI school, and she paid
11:32
like close to $2,400 in fines. She had received a 120 day suspended
11:35
jail sentence, but
11:39
she
11:39
was at the sobering house. Like she never served
11:42
any jail time.
11:44
Unfortunately, the marriage between
11:46
Kat and Jennifer only lasted two years
11:48
before they would file for divorce in 2015.
11:52
That was certainly not the end of it though.
11:54
This divorce and its aftermath got
11:57
very, very messy.
11:58
Oh no. So. Kat claimed
12:00
that Jennifer was making her life a,
12:03
quote, living hell, unquote,
12:05
and was trying to destroy her, quote,
12:07
at any cost. The accusations
12:10
and fighting went on way longer
12:12
than just like the period of the divorce or even
12:15
the marriage. Really, Kat
12:16
Korah would marry again. Her next
12:19
wife, Nicole, compared
12:21
Jennifer to Ted Bundy in 2020. Wow.
12:27
Yeah, things didn't seem
12:29
to start out terribly with this
12:32
divorce.
12:33
They released a statement, a very civilized
12:35
statement, in November of 2015 when they filed, quote,
12:38
it's with great sadness
12:39
that after 17 years, a tremendous
12:41
amount of work, careful consideration,
12:44
and heavy hearts, my wife and I have mutually
12:46
decided to no longer remain married. In
12:49
love, there is a season, a reason, and
12:51
a lifetime. Oh, I hate that saying. Although
12:54
this is not what we ever imagined, we
12:56
will always have four incredible
12:58
reasons to celebrate our years together,
13:00
our sons. We're forever
13:02
parents to our boys and are jointly
13:04
committed to raising them in a peaceful, nurturing,
13:07
and healthy environment. Good statement.
13:09
Good statement. Interestingly,
13:12
both women filed for divorce.
13:15
What? Yeah, TMZ obtained divorce
13:17
papers
13:18
showing that Kat was requesting joint custody
13:21
of their four sons, but Jennifer was
13:23
requesting to have full physical custody.
13:26
Soon, more details kind of emerged
13:28
into the public and things got
13:31
quite a bit uglier. Kat's
13:33
lawyers filed documents accusing Jennifer
13:35
of badmouthing Kat to the children.
13:38
Also, it was released that the couple had mutually
13:40
agreed that Kat would file for divorce, but
13:43
Jennifer had gone behind her back and filed
13:45
at the same time. Oh, no,
13:48
that's dirty. According to Kat, this
13:50
was just out of spite,
13:53
just a poke-ity-poke-poke.
13:56
Jello pickles everywhere. Kool-Aid
13:59
pickles everywhere. Sorry. Kat
14:02
and her lawyer were asking that Jennifer be required
14:05
to submit to a vocational analysis
14:07
and get a job instead of relying solely on
14:09
Cora
14:10
to support her after the divorce.
14:13
2015 was not all bad for Kat,
14:15
though. That same year, she became the first
14:17
female chef to be inducted into the American
14:19
Academy of Culinary Chef's Hall
14:22
of Fame. That's exciting. Yeah,
14:24
by the American Culinary Federation.
14:26
Her divorce was finalized in 2016,
14:29
and things seemed to calm down for a
14:32
while. But
14:35
Kat remarried, which
14:38
appeared to spark a whole lot of hostility
14:40
between the exes.
14:43
In 2018, Kat was sued by
14:45
the Guernsey Schneider
14:46
accounting firm for breach of contract.
14:49
The firm claimed that as of September 18, 2018, Kat owed
14:51
them a total of $169,171.15
14:58
for work they performed for her over several
15:00
years. Wow, that's $170,000. She
15:03
disputed the claims and blamed her financial
15:06
issues on her ex-wife, Jennifer.
15:08
So the parties reached a settlement agreement.
15:11
This is according to Radar Online, which brought the
15:13
total down to only $144,167
15:15
and
15:20
allowed Cora to pay the balance in installments.
15:23
But the agreement said that if she defaulted, the
15:25
total would bounce back to the $170k-ish
15:30
number. So Radar Online
15:32
reached out to Kat for a statement, and she
15:34
said, quote, The genesis of this action is
15:36
my long-standing and contentious divorce
15:39
with Jennifer.
15:40
As a result of an antiquated system
15:42
with unprotected judges and greedy
15:45
ex-spouses, Jennifer
15:47
was rewarded for taking me to court 16 times
15:50
over the past five years.
15:59
by a court system that imposed a
16:02
receiver to take 100% of
16:04
all income owing to me and
16:06
my businesses in order to pay Jennifer,
16:08
her lawyers, and the receiver. None
16:11
of the proceeds that have been paid to the receiver
16:14
have been released to me and as a result
16:16
of the court's actions,
16:17
I have been left with no money to pay
16:20
taxes, bills, or even to live.
16:23
As a result of Jennifer's actions, there was
16:25
no money to pay the expenses of my businesses
16:28
which were integral to our receiving income.
16:30
I was forced to lay off all our employees,
16:33
cancel our insurance policies, stop
16:36
all marketing efforts, and sell what was
16:38
left of my business.
16:39
I will now take a salary from a third party
16:42
in order to make ends meet.
16:44
Talk about to the cleaners. This
16:46
is where I'm simply too cheap to get divorced.
16:50
I'm sorry, but if you're going to
16:52
output to lawyers in courts
16:54
and y'all get that petty
16:57
over your divorce, I just look at the money
16:59
absolutely wasted. Yeah,
17:02
I mean, it does not have to work that way, but
17:04
clearly it can. Just what you do
17:06
when you're that mad that you're going
17:08
to risk
17:10
financial safety and security
17:13
for a lot of years just
17:15
for spite. It's incredible. Well, I
17:17
have news. Oh, goody. Because
17:20
things only got worse from there. Sounds
17:22
right.
17:23
In 2020, Kat told Page
17:25
Six, never talked to Page Six, that
17:28
since 2015, when the couple filed
17:30
for divorce,
17:30
what she has been dealing with from Jennifer
17:33
is, quote, a nightmare that I can't
17:35
wake up from. Referencing recent
17:37
court documents that she had filed against Jennifer,
17:40
Kat said, quote, it's cyberstalking mental
17:43
and emotional
17:43
distress and abuse.
17:46
In September 2020, Kat petitioned the
17:48
court for a domestic violence restraining
17:50
order against Jennifer. Oh,
17:52
no. In the petition, she cited
17:54
an incident when she claimed Jennifer
17:56
cornered her and Nicole in public
17:58
places like the boys school. or
18:01
like baseball practice,
18:02
invading their personal space
18:04
while making a scene. Hooray!
18:06
So Nicole would be the new wife and
18:09
Jennifer doesn't sound like she's over it. No.
18:11
So here's a quotation, quote,
18:14
her parents witnessed it, all six
18:16
kids, cats four plus Nicole, new
18:18
wife's two,
18:20
saw or heard her cornering Nicole.
18:22
Jennifer got up in Nicole's face. It
18:24
was pretty shocking.
18:25
She's such an uncooperative co-parent.
18:28
For instance, she's taken me to court 15 times
18:30
in four years and has
18:32
basically bankrupted me
18:34
by having to defend myself. Wow,
18:37
that's this is terrible. Yeah.
18:41
So cats, new wife, second
18:43
wife, we will we will get to that. Nicole
18:46
Erlich contributed to the interview and told
18:48
page six
18:49
that Jennifer gets quote, her power and
18:51
happiness from making Kat miserable
18:54
and then
18:54
went on to compare her to Ted Bundy
18:57
as already mentioned. Yikes.
18:59
Kat's petition for a restraining order said
19:02
the final straw and this
19:04
this is a good final straw was
19:07
when she, Nicole and their
19:09
six kids were home together and
19:11
a strange man trespassed onto
19:13
their property and approached a window while
19:16
shouting. Uh oh. Right.
19:19
Cora says I didn't know if we were being robbed,
19:21
if we were going to be killed, if he was trying to get
19:23
into our house, I had no idea who
19:25
this person was. So
19:28
Nicole ran after the guy and they
19:31
got him surrounded until police arrived.
19:34
He was there to serve legal papers.
19:36
So Jennifer had sent him,
19:38
but Kat claims he never rang the front doorbell
19:41
and instead quote, criminally trespassed
19:43
and didn't leave when we told him to stand off
19:45
our property until the police came.
19:48
The police told us that we absolutely should file
19:50
a restraining order against Jennifer
19:52
quote. She's never cared if I needed to be
19:54
with my mom or the kids or anything.
19:57
Kat wrote in the restraining order
19:59
petition.
19:59
and quote, her whole goal in life
20:02
is for me to fail, be destroyed,
20:04
not have a relationship with the kids. For
20:07
everyone I know, I am a bad person.
20:09
She's desperately trying to make me seem like a
20:11
bad person, bad mother, anything
20:14
to hurt me. This sounds
20:16
very vindictive. Yeah, we don't
20:18
actually know when this is going
20:21
to find, I mean, this looks like it may continue being
20:23
a fight until the youngest
20:25
child turns 18 or 21.
20:28
As of August 30, 2022, Kat still legally owed Jennifer $100,000
20:31
in support obligations according to
20:36
TMZ.
20:37
Jennifer quit taking her to court, man.
20:40
You're just, you're in the divorce financial
20:42
hole by this point. Apparently she's got 100,000
20:45
reasons to keep taking her to court. So. Okay,
20:49
well, that was a, that was, that
20:51
was a lot of drama, conflict, bad
20:53
divorce. We're going to take a little break
20:56
to hear from our sponsors.
20:58
And when we come back, we're going to visit
21:01
a little alone time with
21:03
TD alum, Brandy Glanville. Oh
21:06
my, nothing's linear.
21:08
Everything is connected. See you on the flip.

23:54
Alicia, what would a story even
23:56
be if it didn't involve a weird fling with a
23:58
housewife? I'm
23:59
I'm still trying to get over Kool-Aid pickles. So
24:02
continue on with Brandi Glanville. I knew
24:04
that was going to blow your mind.
24:06
In 2017, page six reported
24:08
that Kat and Brandi Glanville had
24:11
a lesbian fling,
24:12
as they so helpfully put it, while
24:15
filming the cooking show, My Kitchen Rules.
24:17
Brandi Glanville has long described her
24:19
sexuality as fluid. Glanville
24:22
addressed it on Watch What Happens Live and
24:24
said that she actually considered settling
24:26
down with Kat,
24:28
but then Brandi remembered how attracted
24:30
she was to men and decided that she couldn't
24:32
commit to another woman
24:33
for the rest of her life.
24:36
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
24:38
star explained the brief relationship saying,
24:40
she's hot, she's talented, why not?
24:43
I mean, that's fair. When
24:45
host Andy Cohen asked Glanville
24:48
if she could see herself settling down with a woman,
24:50
she said, quote, I did actually
24:52
think that because she's so cool and talented
24:54
and wonderful, but then I saw a hot guy
24:56
walk by and I was like, oh, wait.
25:01
So according to page six, Brandi
25:03
Glanville and Kat hooked up for like
25:06
a couple weeks, but Brandi ultimately
25:08
called it off because she could not be in a serious
25:11
relationship with a woman or it
25:13
sounds like maybe anyone. Anybody, yeah.
25:15
Based on our earlier discussion of,
25:17
you can go listen to that episode. Second
25:21
marriage, finally. Okay,
25:23
in 2017, Kat began dating producer Nicole
25:27
Ehrlich, music industry executive.
25:30
Okay.
25:31
The couple quickly fell in love and they decided
25:33
that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.
25:36
While planning their dream wedding, they appeared
25:38
on an episode of TLC's Say Yes to the
25:41
Dress.
25:41
Oh, exciting. Where they each
25:43
chose a beautiful gown to wear to their
25:45
wedding. Nicole is not
25:47
as famous as her now ex-wife,
25:51
but has actually been
25:53
in the entertainment industry for more than 20 years. She's
25:56
an accomplished
25:56
director and producer. She's
25:58
won both a Grammy and an Emmy. Emmy. Her
26:01
Grammy came from her work on Lady Gaga's
26:03
Bad Romance video and her Emmy
26:05
from Lady Gaga Presents
26:08
the Monster Ball Tour at Madison Square
26:10
Garden, an HBO special. Oh,
26:12
that's great. Yeah.
26:13
According to Distractify, they found each
26:15
other on the dating app Raya. Interesting.
26:18
The super elite,
26:21
the app for all the super famous.
26:23
When they met, Nicole said it was
26:26
love at first
26:27
on April 21st, 2018. They
26:30
married at the Via Verano estate
26:32
in Santa Barbara. Today was such
26:34
a magical day. I married the love of my
26:36
life. Nicole, in front of all our family
26:39
and closest friends, Kat told
26:41
Us Magazine to share our love
26:43
and commitment to one another alongside our
26:45
six sons was a dream come true. We
26:48
couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.
26:51
And of course, Nicole brought her two sons
26:53
into the marriage. So that's the six. Yes, four
26:55
perfect. Six family of eight. It's like
26:58
the Brady Bunch boys alone.
27:00
A lot. A lot. It's a lot. It's
27:02
John and Kate plus. All right.
27:05
The two kept their career separate for the most
27:07
part, but they worked together on
27:09
Kat's collaboration with California's
27:12
Miller Family Wine Companies'
27:14
Hand on Heart collection. Hand on
27:16
Heart is a collection of premium non-alcoholic
27:19
wines. They sell for about $15
27:21
a bottle.
27:22
There's a Chardonnay, a Cabernet and
27:24
a Rose. And not only are they alcohol
27:26
free, but they're also lower in sugar, calories
27:29
and carbs. So basically everything
27:31
you want in wine has been removed.
27:34
Fantastic. No, that's unfair.
27:36
I've not tried the product. Unfortunately,
27:39
Kat was no luckier in love on
27:41
the second go round. Oh, no.
27:44
Kat and Nicole announced their split in April
27:46
of 2021 after three years of marriage. Yeah,
27:49
it's not terribly long. No, but
27:52
you have to imagine
27:54
if Kat is just being like
27:56
pummeled by Jennifer. Yeah. Just trapped
27:58
in this like ongoing litigat. and accumulating
28:02
debts for legal service, just the whole nine. I'm
28:04
sure it was stressful. Thankfully,
28:07
for both of them, this divorce seemed
28:09
to go a lot more smoothly than the
28:11
first one. Well, because she's still trying to divorce wife
28:13
number one. So TMZ
28:16
got hold of the settlement agreement and
28:18
learned that Nicole was awarded some furniture,
28:21
some jewelry, a few bank accounts. There
28:23
were three cars, a 2010 Lexus RX350, a 2015 Audi CV, and
28:29
a 2017 Jeep.
28:31
Kat retains full ownership of her companies
28:34
to the extent that she held
28:36
ownership. I guess
28:38
any shares that maybe Nicole
28:40
had acquired in the marriage reverted. Not
28:42
sure. Who gets the Jello Pickles?
28:45
Sorry, the Kool-Aid Pickles. Both women
28:47
waived the right to spousal support
28:49
because
28:50
they're both okay. Okay.
28:53
So onto that wine company collaboration,
28:56
the marketing director for Miller Family Wines. commented
28:59
on it and also kind of on the end of Kat
29:02
and Nicole's marriage.
29:03
Nicole doesn't drink and the
29:05
couple couldn't find a selection of non-alcoholic
29:07
wines, so they reached out to the Miller family.
29:10
The upshot is that it launched the joint
29:12
venture between Kat and the Miller family
29:14
hand on heart wine. In other words, although
29:16
the marriage between Kat and Nicole ended,
29:19
it could also be said to have been the beginning of
29:21
a beautiful relationship between Kat
29:24
and the winery. Oh, well that's
29:26
nice. Sure. I mean,
29:28
I appreciate people on their sober
29:31
journey or maybe you just don't like
29:33
alcohol too much. So having an alcohol free
29:35
alternative, that's great. Sure. I
29:38
know there's a boom market
29:39
on that right now because a lot of people are sober
29:42
curious trying to moderate. It's
29:44
all good. The pandemic was hard on everybody.
29:47
Let's be honest. And
29:49
we're using past tense why the pandemic
29:52
was and is still a little
29:54
bit hard. Let's say 2020 was hard on everybody. This
30:00
is a nice spot to pause
30:03
for another message from sponsors. When
30:06
we come back, we will look at the further adventures

31:23
competed on Fox's competition show
31:25
the real dirty dancing This
31:28
is a reality competition show where celebrities
31:30
recreate dance scenes from the 1987 film dirty dancing
31:34
I
31:35
had no idea such
31:37
a thing existed Wow Cat
31:39
impressed viewers and judges with her
31:42
dancing talents and flair for performance
31:44
She really is fun on television like
31:47
a Renaissance woman incredibly cook
31:49
and dance incredibly engaging
31:52
Personality which is why she's been
31:54
successful like as a celebrity chef
31:57
anyway she and Corbin blue
31:59
from high school
31:59
School Musical
32:01
won the competition with the impressive recreation
32:04
of the iconic lift in Dirty Dancing
32:06
when Patrick Swayze lifts Jennifer
32:08
Grey.
32:08
Really? Look good
32:10
on her. A proud cat said, we
32:12
worked so hard for that.
32:14
The fact that we nailed that lift, we
32:16
got one shot at it and we nailed it. I
32:18
was just overcome with so much emotion.
32:21
It was magical. Amazing.
32:24
The dancing partners practiced the lift in
32:26
a lake the way that Patrick
32:28
Swayze and Jennifer Grey did. Well that's how you have to learn the
32:30
move. In the movie.
32:33
The competition meant a lot to
32:35
Kat for many reasons. She
32:37
said she had to step out of her comfort zone,
32:39
be vulnerable, doing something that she hadn't
32:41
done before and that she was older
32:44
than the other competitors at the age of 55.
32:47
Of overcoming all of these challenges and
32:49
nailing the lift, Kat said, quote,
32:51
that was really empowering. And she
32:54
also wants
32:54
women and young girls to know
32:56
that you can do anything at any age.
32:59
Never put yourself in a box or
33:02
to put it more appropriately.
33:05
Nobody puts baby in the corner.
33:07
That's amazing. So that is the
33:09
current sitch with Kat
33:12
Cora, celebrity chef,
33:15
dancer and escapee
33:17
from Mississippi. That
33:20
was an incredible story. We're going to get mail
33:22
from Mississippians if we leave that in. No,
33:25
we need to know where to get the best. Kool-Aid
33:28
pickles in Mississippi. We need more.
33:30
What flavors should we try if we're
33:32
going to try this at home? Need more details about
33:34
the Koolicles, friends. I've read about them. I
33:37
have not driven through Mississippi in a number
33:39
of years at this point, but I'm so
33:41
sad I didn't know to look for them when I did
33:43
back in the day.
33:45
OK, Stacey, that was quite a ride. How
33:48
many trash cans for Kat Cora? I
33:51
think we're talking like
33:53
the trash cans behind a fine dining
33:55
restaurant at the
33:56
end of a busy Saturday
33:59
night. something along
34:01
those lines. Sure, sure. Hiding behind
34:03
the grease trap. Yeah. But
34:06
they stay hidden
34:07
for six years and it
34:09
takes 15 court cases to find them. Yeah,
34:11
that seems right. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. What
34:14
a story. Thanks for that. You're
34:16
welcome. As we're closing it down,
34:18
I need to let all of our trash pandas who are
