Today we will learn from Anissa Hudak what it means to heal your Trauma using Yoga Therapy and its difference from other modalities. I would also like her to explain why she believes our issues are in our tissues.
I must confess when I was experiencing Trauma as a young child; I did not know anything about Yoga or Yoga Therapy or see anyone practising this type of therapy to heal oneself.
I grew up to become an UNSTOPPABLE Woman and did not think of healing myself using different modalities. I figured out very early if I wanted to stay clear of the mental institution, I must feed my mind with spiritual food just as I would feed my body with good healthy food from our garden to have a healthy lifestyle and longevity. For me, it was speaking the Words of God. They became food for my soul and kept my mind on him. They became my Mantra.
I am encouraged that we have choices and can choose the best course of action we can take to receive our healing from Trauma. Whatever we decide to use as our healing mechanism, one thing I do know is that it is a continuous action we must take.
