This was a fascinating episode. Staron is an Evangelical Christian, but he seems to be arguing that Evangelicals could be more focused on religion and less focused on politics. My understanding is that if you're not interesting in dictating morality for the whole country, you probably choose a different church. Could there be such a thing as an Evangelical who is not interested in money, politics, power, and influence? It's a great question, and I admire him for asking it, although it seems hopelessly optimistic to me.
