Uber and other ride sharing applications need to do more in regards to background checks. Sadly, this has been a constant problem that doesn’t seem to go away anytime soon. I read that Uber in India provided an opportunity for sexual predators to prey on female which lead to speculations that UBer license would be suspended. In contrast, Uber in China has been successful and we all know that the Chinese government’s background checks are second to none and its one of these regimes that infiltrate all businesses to ensure constant monitoring. Sometimes, a big brother approach is essential when my safety and your safety are goals.
