In the 1590, John White, after 3 years returned to the colony he left on Roanoke Island, only to find them gone with very few clues as to what could have happened to them. To this day, we still don’t know for sure what happened to White’s white people but we do know that they were not the only ones who would ever go missing from OBX. This week we dive into the mysteries of this creepy place. We will discuss the lost colony, local ghost stories, pirates (including the one’s Mary swears work at Kroger), and introduce you to Brenda Joyce Holland, a newcomer to the island in the summer of 1967, who like the lost colony, her fate remains a mystery.
