Normally, we have our special guest on the second Wednesday of the month but for this HISTORICAL woman we made a few adjustments!

She is the first woman EVER to become head coach of a men’s professional team in any sport.

I’m an athlete from the 1980s and I’m still relevant in 2020.  When I got hired by Donnie Nelson, President Obama invited me to The White House. I went to The White House and I took my son T.J. He said what you do is normal to you and I’ll paraphrase here but he said I’ve been African-American my whole life and you’ve been a white woman your whole life. You coaching men is normal to you. Me being the President of the United States is normal to me. It’s not normal to the outside world.”

Our Special Guest is "Lady Magic", NANCY LIEBERMAN!

Lieberman brings an unparalleled resume to this podcast interview, including eight years of professional play in the Women’s Professional Basketball League and WNBA, eight years of professional coaching experience in the WNBA, NBA D-League (head coach of the Texas Legends, affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks) and NBA (Sacramento Kings assistant coach), and time as a broadcaster for ESPN and ABC.

Lieberman also earned a silver medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics and a gold medal as a member of USA Basketball’s 1979 World Championship team.

She was named to three All-American teams while winning back-to-back AIAW National Championships at Old Dominion University.

Nicknamed “Lady Magic,” she was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1996.
