The creator of ‘The Cailleach’sHerbarium’ website - delving into the world of Scottish folklore, herbalism andfolk practices. He is a folk magic practitioner, writer, advocate and agitator- passionate about Scottish culture, history and politics. Scott joins us totalk about all kinds of Scottish Folk Magic practices such as the various waysin which Saining can be performed, Animism and Ancestor Veneration, Folk Deity,Festivals and the important difference between cultural appropriation andappreciation.
A four-times graduate and holds Mastersdegrees in psychology, social work and research. The co-creator and researcherbehind the Tales of the Taibhsear project, part of the Taibhsearcollective that brought to life Edinburgh’s ongoing annual folk culture,tradition and magic celebration and lecture series, and also network coordinatorfor The Woven Land Network.
