The Jeremy Castro Foundation was founded in 2017, in response to the loss of Jeremy Edward Castro, whose life was ended by a drug overdose. Having battled heroin addiction for several years, Jeremy was clean for 4 months and scheduled to begin a new job as an EMT the morning of April 26, 2017. But he never left the house. He died in his bedroom - his 26 year-old body found by his mother. Official cause of death: Fentanyl Intoxication.

Yet another family ravaged by the opioid epidemic. Having journeyed with Jeremy through his addiction, rehabs and relapses, we witnessed the arduous struggle of heroin addiction. We battled the addiction alongside Jeremy, and sadly, lost that battle.

In Jeremy’s death, the Foundation was born. Created by the Castro Family, we are dedicated to helping other heroin addicts reclaim their lives and their souls. We aim to educate the community by exploring all aspects of the addiction in a judgment-free zone, and truly believe that an addict is Never Helpless, Never Hopeless.
