We start this one off by exploring the value of singing as a treatment for Parkinson's. Apparently singing helps with the deterioration of the muscles in the throat. As speech declines, singing more may be a treatment. Since we are both vocalists, we wonder if we are actually delaying or ameliorating the future impact of this disorder. Trump's emolument violations continue to grow. G7 at Doral? What? Jim speaks about giving away loonies and toonies as a charitable act. Terry recalls the Squeegee kids in Toronto...forced charity? Christian Ponzi schemes? Lots of examples of ripping people off while promising unlikely returns on their "investments." Is this the same as Prosperity preachers? Or the gathering of offerings on the collection plates? To what extent can churches be considered a Ponzi scheme? What about ideas conveyed in the Netflix The Righteous Gemstones? Can you argue when someone claims he/she is "God's person"? Is Trump God's man? What is the evidence for this claim?
And this is just a little summary of the territory we explore during our morning coffee. Stay Tuned!
