Regarding the importance of Sunnah al-Thaniyyah (Valuable Sunnahs), Imam Rabbani Quddisa Sirrahu said:

“Recently, Islam has become fragile and Muslims have become feeble. As time goes by, there will be none on Earth who say “Allah” and the strange situation of Muslims will continue to escalate until Qiyamah comes upon the evil people.

The Sa‘eed (fortunate here and hereafter) is he who revives one of the forgotten Sunnahs and eradicates a Bid’ah (heretical innovation). It has been a thousand years since the time of Rasûlullâh Sallallâhu Alayhi Wa Sallam, and some of the signs of the hour have already appeared. Since a substantial amount of time elapsed after the century of Nabi Sallallâhu Alayhi Wa Sallam, the Sunnahs have been neglected and forgotten, and the Bid’ah (heretical innovations) have spread all over as falsehood increased. Therefore, there has been a dire need for an Alim (Islamic scholar) capable of propagating and reviving the Sunnah and eradicating the Bid’ah (heretical innovations).

Spreading the Bid’ah corrupts the deen (religion) and honouring the people of Bid’ah is a cause of undermining Islam. In a Hadith al-Sharif, Rasûlullâh Sallallâhu Alayhi Wa Sallam said: “He who venerates the people of Bid’ah, will have indeed facilitated in the destruction of Islam.” Therefore, it is incumbent to exert all the efforts and will to practise one of the Sunnah and eradicate one of the Bid’ahs.

Leading an Islamic way of life, at all times and especially today when Islam has become weak, depends on spreading the (practise of) Sunnah and eradicating the Bid’ah (heretical innovations). Some of the past Ulama regarded certain Bid’ahs to be good (Hasanah). However, this faqeer (meaning himself) disagrees with them in that matter; he sees no benefit and good in any of the Bid’ah; and he does not sense anything in the Bid’ah aside from darkness and impurity. Our prophet Sallallâhu Alayhi Wa Sallam said: “Every Bid’ah is a Dhalalah (misguidance).” I believe that the salvation of Islam from this weak and fragile situation depends on following the Sunnah, and I think that Islam remains as weak and fragile if people continue to engage in the Bid’ah (heretical innovations), whatever Bid’ah they might be. I regard the Bid’ah as a sledge knocking down the building of Islam and the Sunnah as a bright star that guides in the darkness of misguidance.

May Allâh Ta‘âlâ enable the Ulama of the time, with His Grace, not to regard any Bid’ah as beneficial and good and not to give Fatwa (verdict) for their performance…”Ameen.
