Rasûlullâh Sallallâhu Alayhi Wa Sallam blessed the universe with his birth on the 12th of this month. Therefore, the twelfth of Rabi’ Al-Awwal is the night of Waladat (Mawlid), a sacred night in the Hijri Calendar. During this month, Muslims should engage in reciting Salawât (Durood) Sharîf, such as Salat-Nariyyah, Salat-Munjiyah and Salat Al-Fathiya as many times as possible.

To take full advantage of the spiritual benefits of this night, one should perform Tasbih Salâh and Khatim Al-Anbiya, the explanation of which can be found at the end of the book.

Intention for Tasbih Salâh should be as follows:

“O, Allah! I intend to pray Tasbih Salâh for your sake only. O Allah, in honour of your beloved whom you sent to enlighten the world, the crown of our heads, our Rasûl Sallallâhu Alayhi Wa Sallam, grant me your forgiveness and grace. Allahu Akbar.” (Duas [Invocations] and Ibadahs [worship])

RASÛLULLÂH SALLALLÂHU ALAYHI WA SALLAM’S GOOD NEWS TO THE PATIENT

Hasan al Basri (Radhiyallahu Anhu) narrated:

Some of the Ashab (companions) asked Rasûlullâh Sallallâhu Alayhi Wa Sallam: Sometimes, we see something, and we want to buy it. But because we cannot afford it, we cannot buy it. Is there a reward for us as we bear patience?”

The Prophet Sallallâhu Alayhi Wa Sallam replied: “If you don’t get a reward from this, where else will you (meaning you will definitely get)?”

Dahhaq bin Qays Radhiyallâhu Anhu said:

“Suppose a person goes to the marketplace and sees something he likes but cannot buy it, observes Sabr (he feels content with the decree of Allah and observes patience) and expects its reward from Allâh Ta‘âlâ. This would be better for him than spending one hundred thousand gold coins in Allah’s cause.”
