Portland, I guessed how you gettin’ down. Now I really know. Wait, is that ‘skrrt skrrt’, or did I mistake that for ‘chirp chirp’, like crickets? In Episode 005, America was scary. Now it sits in quiet discomfort. Maybe it will all just conveniently go away.

I discuss the hate and racially-driven murders of Michael Collins III on the University of Maryland campus, U.S. Army Sergeant, Ricky John Best and Taliesin Myrddin Namkai-Meche on the Portland, Oregon MAX Light Rail, the vandalism of NBA superstar, LeBron James’ home, and a noose found at the Smithsonian African-American History Museum in Washington, DC.

In the aftermath, Portland Mayor, Ted Wheeler’s solution is so bad, that a 16-year-old girl is left to cover. I guess it’s all for clicks. Unacceptable.

Note: I’ve seen Mr. Namkai-Meche a couple of times around Portland since the spring. This hits really close to home.
