⚠️WARNING: This episode contains homophobic language.
The shocking riot at Capitol Hill in Washington DC on Jan 6 and how militant Christian language plays into polarization. We discuss how ‘free speech’ gets poorly co-opted in Singapore (remember #NotMyPresident ?), and the need for greater humility and accountability for our words and opinions.
We respond to a Vice News article that contained some terrible quotes from homophobic Christians. C shares a different way of looking at Section 377A, and talks the invisibility of marginalised communities. We address the fear ‘moderates’ feel because the loudest voices are dominating public conversation, and how this stops true engagement between people and innovation in church and culture.
