Today I have the pleasure of being joined with author and metal musician, Jay Gironimi, who last year came onto my radar and the radar of many others after being featured as a guest on the very popular internet show: THIS PODCAST WILL KILL YOU. On that show, and in his book Can’t Eat, Can’t Breathe and Other Ways Cystic Fibrosis has Fucked Me, Jay shared with the world his life-long struggle with Cystic Fibrosis and how he copes with this chronic, debilitating and often deadly disease on a day to day basis. Most noteworthy in that episode, to me certainly, was how in spite of his health, Jay was still deeply driven to create. On this special 2 HOUR + episode, Jay and I deep dive into past and present internet and pop culture and how it affected the drive behind creative output. We discuss family and financial difficulty and how it can influence or dissuade you. This is probably one of my favorite recordings to date, and the editing is minimal.
