Pratap Raju is the co-founder of Climate Collective, a non-profit organization. In this episode, ‘Understanding the Future of Climate Startup Ecosystem in India’, with Pratap Raju we discuss the prospects, challenges, opportunities, achievements and challenges in the climate start-up ecosystem. The whole discussion is centered upon inspiring our young generation to take up entrepreneurship, enhancing the scope of the ecosystem and working for the betterment of the climate.

First of all, we initiate the discussion by understanding the support for the startup ecosystem and how we can help them thrive. We further discuss climate tech in general, its sectors, what kind of approach is required for financing and how will they survive the competition. Then our discourse moves towards the risk exposures and issue of sustainability. He further explains the current scenario with his own experiences in this field and the scenarios from the past. Further, the discussion moves towards understanding the challenges faced by the startups and how the ecosystem can cater to it. Then he helps us understand the policy issues, situation of the startup ecosystem in our neighboring countries and what are the positives of India’s ecosystem. Lastly, we talk about soft and hard skills required and what things are vital for developing an ecosystem.
