Dans le cadre de la célébration des 50 ans de l’adoption de la Loi sur les langues officielles, nous avons eu l’idée d’établir un dialogue entre les communautés francophone et anglophone de Kingston. Nous voulons ainsi donner la chance aux deux groupes d’échanger et de s’exprimer sur différents sujets de la vie quotidienne afin d’apprécier la valeur de la dualité linguistique de Kingston. Enfin, nous désirons contribuer à l’épanouissement et à la vitalité de la communauté minoritaire francophone et ainsi rapprocher les deux groupes linguistiques. In order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the passing of the Official Languages Act, we had the idea of launching a dialogue between Kingston’s French & English-speaking communities. We wanted to give both groups the chance to exchange and express their views on different topics of daily life in order to appreciate the value of the linguistic duality in the city of Kingston. Finally, we wanted to contribute to the development and vitality of the French-speaking minority community and thus bring the two linguistic minority groups closer together.
