Or rather, a word of warning ABOUT triggers:

If you try to control everything in your external environment to prevent yourself from getting triggered, you’re never going to transcend any of your shadows.

Period.

Sooo many people doing personal development work get so fucking fragile about their triggers that they will set a million unnecessary boundaries to keep themselves in a bubble of safety. But we can’t evolve in a fucking bubble; we need to be able to face our triggers in order to track down our shadows.

Harsh? Maybe. True? Fuck yes. Let’s go over the importance of getting triggered…and why we need to stop being so precious about it.
