Jupiter Broadcasting's inimitable news podcast. Chris Fisher (cybersecurity expert) and Chase Nunes (Broadcast Engineer for KOMO-TV 4 ABC) gave a round-up of the events each week that they personally thought would have historical significance. It was a format that allowed them to speak openly about what they thought on the different happenings, their political positions, throw in theories on why certain stories were favored over others in the news-cycle... and that meant that beyond just giving the listener a well-rounded view of the news week (this part was admirably researched by the way), they managed to capture how people were impacted by the what was unfolding and how it was related. They managed to hold news sources accountable for their choices while treating all of them with equal respect, something I haven't found in other podcasts since. Good information in mainstream news sources was celebrated as much as misinformation (see most cybersecurity segments) was criticized.It was a truly special show, informative and entertaining like no other. It's a shame that the duo lost interest in continuing, but I understand why it happened: it was clearly a lot of work to make it as good as it was, and it was never financially sustainable. Still, I think it's worth celebrating how it came out. Be warned of a bit of a libertarian twist to things, but you have your own opinions, you can handle it, right?
