Josh Hall ( @splitswimco ) A Professional swimmer who retired in 2016 but didn't want to leave the community that meant so much to him for so long, fast forward to today and you have of the most influential swimming communities and businesses that everyone could learn from.*

Around 10 years old Josh was tired of having a sister that was faster than him in the pool so he joined a team with the goal to pass her up. Little did he know that he wasn't joining a team, he was joining a family that is still there for him today.*

After retiring in 2016 he begun to missing the “pain” of training, he missed waking up everyday with a goal and a group of people working towards that same mission. “ being on a team is more like a family, you train together, travel together, win together and lose together “. He couldn't stay out of the pool for long as he now trains for Iron Man races *

Looking for a way to give back to the community that made him into the man he is, Josh joined forces with another poolmate and founded Split Swim Co. We dive into SSC and learn many valuable lessons about building a brand. *

One thing that he urges is to just get started, pick something simple and execute against it.  Trade perfection in for speed and get to work, you won't know what your community wants until you've showed up enough and then they will tell you.*
