We've got a great interview for you today. The one, the only Gary V joins the Unskippable podcast for a quick interview. I've known Gary for about 10 years or so. We met right when he was in the thick of his wine library tv days. Before his books, before all the fame. I remember meeting him at a speaker party in vegas and it was very different than what he is now. He could walk into a room back then and not get mobbed.

He was a nice guy back then, and a nice guy today, just more famous. I also got to spend time with Gary when he came to Cleveland to film an episode of wine library in Cleveland Browns Stadium. I remember that day clearly, because it was a whirlwind. Walking through the stadium with him and the others, before he had a video crew following him around day and night. I got to stand behind the camera and watch him film a show. Then I was invited out to lunch with him and the others and everyone sat around and chatted for an hour. To give you an idea of how long ago that was nobody had an iPhone. I remember Gary taking calls on his blackberry.

I also got to see Gary in action a few years later when he was doing a book tour. My wife and I went to the bookstore and got to say hello, then he did a private meet and greet with about 50 people at a local restaurant. And even then, when he was the star, the person everyone wanted to talk to, he was gracious and welcoming to every single person in the room. He walked the room and shook everyone's hand and had a conversation with them.

So I've seen Gary before his super fame, and now, after, and he's the same guy. And that's what drives his brand. His authenticity. Gary is definitely unskippable.
