A podcast for next-level horror fans and my new favorite podcast. I love discovering "new to me" horror movies. Lance and Erica deliver exactly that. Their knowledge of not only horror movies but of tons of other genres is extremely impressive. You can tell these are true fans not only from their conversations about the films being reviewed, but of the other films connected with the film. I think fans of Pure Cinema and Colors of the Dark podcast will find this to be on that level. What really sets this podcast apart for me is that (GASP) they do a lot of work for each episode. They don't just watch the one movie for the podcast, but other films by the director and actors, so I always finish listening with multiple movies to add to my watchlist. Instead of being just another run-of-the-mill show in the ridiculous echo chamber of horror movie podcasts with goofy radio host schticks which all just review the same mainstream movies and with nothing new to be said, Unsung Horrors purposely avoids those and for that, I am thankful. I will never understand why people only want to listen to podcasts about their favorite mainstream horror movies over and over again. Try discovering new movies. There is more to life than Friday the 13th and Blumhouse. Even if I haven't seen the movies they cover, I still listen because I don't think of these discussions as spoilers, but as an endorsement to watch the movie.
