Today, we are talking about a local hero who was shot and killed in the line of duty five years ago yesterday. His name was Hyco, and he was killed while chasing down alleged suspects of a carjacking alongside his handler, Deputy Brandon Surratt, who says he would be dead today if it wasn’t for Hyco.
