March marks Endometriosis Awareness Month - "...a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes." (nhs.co.uk). Affecting females of all ages, symptoms can range from minor to absolutely debilitating, where they can really significantly impact someone's day-to-day life. In this episode, we talk about the lack of awareness there is around periods. We also mention the taboos and rituals around the menstrual cycle - especially within the South Asian culture. Touching on our own experiences, we delve into how conversations with doctors took place, and the way in which the topic gets brought up around our male family and friends - or doesn't.
